City OKs appointments

Las Vegas City Council members on Wednesday ratified their own appointments to a slew of city and regional committees, including the Regional Transportation Commission, Southern Nevada Water Authority and Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
The council voted 7-0 to approve the appointments, many of which let the mayor and council members remain on panels they already belonged to, or in positions they already held, such as the reappointment of Councilman Gary Reese as mayor pro tem.
The appointments included:
Metro Police Fiscal Affairs Committee: Councilmen Gary Reese and Larry Brown.
Nellis Civilian Military Council Executive Board: Mayor Oscar Goodman, with Councilman Steve Wolfson as the alternate.
Nevada Development Authority: Goodman.
Nevada League of Cities: Brown.
Oversight Panel for School Facilities: Councilwoman Lois Tarkanian.
City Real Estate Committee:- Tarkanian and Wolfson.
Regional Flood Control District: Brown and Goodman.
Regional Transportation Commission: Goodman and Brown.
Southern Nevada Water Authority: Wolfson with Councilman Lawrence Weekly as the alternate.
Southern Nevada Regional Planning Coalition: Goodman and Weekly with Wolfson as the alternate.
Yucca Mountain Nuclear Repository Committee: Councilman Steve Ross and Wolfson.
Chief Local Elected Officials Consortium: Ross.
City Audit Oversight Committee: Brown and Weekly.
Clark County District Board of Health Reese and Weekly.
Clean Water Coalition: Brown with Ross as the alternate.
Criminal Justice Advisory Council: Wolfson with Ross as the alternate.
Debt management Commission: Tarkanian.
Economic Opportunity Board: Weekly.
Emergency Operations Management Committee: Goodman and Wolfson.
Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority: Goodman and Brown.
Las Vegas Springs Preserve Board of Trustees: Goodman.
Local Law Enforcement Advisory Committee: Weekly.
