Las Vegas carrier plans north Texas route

Las Vegas-based Allegiant Air will begin offering two nonstop round trips a week between McCarran International Airport and Wichita Falls, Texas, in September, the airline announced today.
Flights will begin Sept. 16 and operate Mondays and Fridays on twin-engine 150-passenger MD-80 series jets.
Flights will leave Las Vegas at 3:10 p.m., arriving at Wichita Falls Municipal Airport at 7:35 p.m., and return at 8:15 p.m., arriving in Las Vegas at 8:55 p.m.
It is the 20th market to be served by Allegiant, which specializes in flights between Las Vegas and Orlando and midmarket cities across the United States.
