Shapiro Project

Jump, Jive & Wail
Las Vegas presents Ken Levine and Jump, Jive & Wail from noon to 1 p.m. today as part of its Downtown Cultural Series. Admission is free. 229-1087.
String Band
The Banana Slug String Band will perform at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Charleston Heights Arts Center, 800 S. Brush St., as part of Las Vegas' "Children's Summer Concert Series." Admission is $3. 229-6211.

The District at Green Valley Ranch continues its concert series with the following performances this week:
6 p.m. to 10 p.m. tonight -- Melanie Moore & Friends, featuring jazz, pop and vocals.
6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday -- Drew Baker Band, featuring top 40 and classic rock.
Dance
McCabe dancers
The McCabe Family Dancers will perform at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday at Winchester Cultural Center, 3130 S. McLeod Drive. The dancers will share Native American pow-wow-style stories, history and performances. Admission is $3. 455-7340.
Theater
'Perversity'
The Community College of Southern Nevada presents David Mamet's "Sexual Perversity in Chicago" at 7:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Little Theatre, 3200 E. Cheyenne Ave. Admission is $10 adults, $8 students and seniors. 651-5483.
'Sin City Serenade'
The Las Vegas Little Theatre, 3920 Schiff Drive, presents "Sin City Serenade" at 8 p.m. tonight, Saturday and Thursday; and at 2 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $25 general, $22 seniors and students. 362-7996.
