Brown

Sara Halliburton Brown, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday. She was born Sept. 9, 1916, in Clarksville, Tenn. A resident 62 years, she was a member of the Valley of Fire chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Mesquite Club.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Dickey of Sierra Madre, Calif., and Stephanie Brosman of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. July 23 at Christ Church Episcopal, 2100 S. Maryland Parkway. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, assisted with arrangements.

ShayLa Ann Dean

ShayLa Ann Dean, 52, of Las Vegas died July 2 in Las Vegas. She was born June 4, 1953, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident she was a cosmetologist.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald Peddicord; one son, Shawn Gentile; one daughter, Shaily Gentile; her mother, RaVae Ramsey; two brothers, Richard Morrow Hobbs Jr. and Curtis Lee Ramsey; one sister, LaFonda Denise Parslow; and one granddaughter.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Temple View chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Moreno Dickerson

Tilcia Margarita Moreno Dickerson, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 28, 1934, in Panama City, Panama. A resident for 43 years, she was a retired x-ray technician.

She is survived by one daughter, Carlotta Dickerson of Las Vegas; two stepsons, Jerry Dickerson of Las Vegas and Brian Dickerson of Spokane, Wash.; and one sister, Gladys A. Malone of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Saturday in the South Stake chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Edward Francis Leon

Edward Francis Leon, 64, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 8, 1940, in Arizona. A resident for 30 years, he was a commercial realtor, a Navy veteran, 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rites.

He is survived by his wife, Wendy; one son, Edward; two stepdaughters, Brenda and Jaime; three sisters, Bertha, Baby Lou and Mary; and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Bette G. McDonnell

Bette G. McDonnell, 87, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 1, 1917, in Chicago. A resident for 10 years, she was a retired secretary.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick; three daughters, Mary Mee of Las Vegas, Diane DiBiase of Tinley Park, Ill., and Sharon Nelson of Valparaiso, Ind.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Mary L. Mervo

Mary L. Mervo, 62, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born March 18, 1943, in Hattiesburg, Miss. A resident for six years, she was a medical office manager.

She is survived by her husband, Michael S.; two daughters, Connie M. Fults of Las Vegas and Michelle King of Phoenix; one brother, Fred Moore of Yucaipa, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Audrey Miller

Audrey Miller, 65, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 24, 1939, in Braddock, Pa. A resident for 19 years, she was a teachers' aide.

She is survived by her husband, Harold K.; three sons, Donald Folkmire, Jeffrey Folkmire and Paul Folkmire; three sisters, Sarah, Vida and Kathleen; and three grandchildren.

Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling private arrangements.

Ed Offord

Ed Offord, 69, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born Dec. 2, 1935, in Wheeling, W.Va. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired electrical engineer for a titanium producer, an Army veteran and a member of the Ohio State Board of Professional Engineers and Surveyors.

He is survived by two daughters, Bridget Feaster of Henderson and Penny Keeder of Steubenville, Ohio; two sons, William Offord of Henderson and Edward Offord II of Columbus, Ohio; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

John C. Rogers

John C. Rogers, 70, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born April 3, 1935, in Texas. A resident for 25 years, he was a chef and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Levoria Swearingen, and one son, John C. Rogers, both of California; four sisters, Loucreshia Crenshaw, Loutishia Conley and Anna Johnson, all of Utah and Margaret Rogers of New Jersey; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Thursday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Thomas and Jones. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Richard F. Sinicki

Richard F. Sinicki, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local care center. He was born Nov. 20, 1938, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for six years, he was a retired computer programmer for a food company and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Susan Sinicki of Las Vegas; two sons, Wayne Sinicki of Las Vegas and Charles Sinicki of Henderson; and two grandchildren.

Cory Leon Skinner

Cory Leon Skinner, 35, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Jan. 17, 1970, in Seattle. A resident for eight years, he was a driver.

He is survived by his wife, Diana L.; and his mother, Dorothy Ilene Skinner of Las Vegas.

Dorothy Wagner, 76, of Pahrump died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 18, 1928, in Cresson, Pa. A resident for 46 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Debbie Nelson of Las Vegas and Pam Moore of Pahrump; two sisters, Jean Johnson and Olive Sarneski, both of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. A private burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

William Russell Weber

William Russell Weber, 65, of Boulder City died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 25, 1939, in Pioche. A lifelong resident of Southern Nevada, he was a City of Las Vegas firefighter and a member of Firefighters Union Local 1285.

He is survived by one daughter, Kellie Anne Sparkman of North Las Vegas; two sons, W. Layne Weber of Boulder City and Todd Russell Weber of Caliente; his mother, Della Bunker of Boulder City; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled two hours prior to a noon service Saturday in the Fifth Street chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Burial will be in Richardville Cemetery, Alamo. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
