Three men who pleaded guilty to possession and conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine in the federal "Ice House" investigation were given prison sentences on Monday ranging from 18 to 37 months.
A federal judge sentenced Jesus Lopez-Gomez to 24 months, Jesus Aguirre to 18 months and Gilberto Solis Lugo to 37 months, said Natalie Collins, spokeswoman for the U.S. Attorney's office.
The three men also were in the country illegally and face deportation upon completing their prison terms, she said.
The three were arrested as a result of a six-month investigation dubbed by federal officials as "Operation Ice House." It focused on a bar that officials said was used as a storage and distribution center for methamphetamine and cocaine.
During the investigation an undercover North Las Vegas Police officer, Detective Clint Ryan, shot and killed a man while serving a narcotics search warrant related to the case. Ryan shot and killed Cipriano Geraldo Lopez because Lopez shot at officers serving the warrant, police said.
