The Nevada Resort Association board of directors has elected Harrah's Entertainment Inc. Western Division President Tom Jenkin to a two-year term as chairman.
Jenkin replaces Station Casinos Inc. President Lorenzo Fertitta, who has held the position since 2002.
"His industry experience, along with his recent role on the forefront of the world's largest gaming merger, makes him uniquely qualified for this position," Nevada Resort Association President Bill Bible said of Jenkin.
"Lorenzo provided steady leadership at a time when the gaming industry was undergoing dramatic change," Bible said in a statement.
Boyd Gaming Corp. President Keith Smith will serve as vice chairman of the Nevada Resort Association.
