Meetings scheduled on Henderson plan
Wednesday, July 6, 2005 | 11:01 a.m.
For Henderson residents who want to share a vision for future growth of the city, officials are accepting comments for the Henderson Comprehensive Plan.
The U.S. Census Bureau in a report released in June ranks Henderson 11th fastest growing city with greater than 100,000 population for the period between July 1, 2003 and July 1, 2004. Only North Las Vegas, Port St. Lucie, Fla., and Elk Grove, Calif., have faster percentage growth rates.
The first public meeting on the Henderson plan is from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Black Mountain Recreation Center, 599 Greenway Road, near East Horizon Drive.
Another public meeting is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Paseo Verde Library, 280 S. Green Valley Parkway.
