Letter: Don’t be alarmed by other opinions

WEEKEND EDITION
July 2-3, 2005
It has been amusing to read the letters to the editor from the radical right-wing Republicans who were upset because the Sun will be an integrated part of the Review-Journal. Each writer spoke as though they would be in danger of getting a loathsome disease if they were exposed to the news and editorials from the other side of the political spectrum.
If the complainers do not want to read the Sun section in the R-J, they only need to remove it from the paper, without reading it, and pitch it into the recycle bin. However, they are not concerned that they may be forced to read the Sun section just because it is delivered to their home. They are afraid that other persons may read editorials with which the neocons do not agree.
They want to censor the media and prevent any conflicting news or editorials from seeing the light of day. Rush Limbaugh is the only voice that they want to hear. Their thought process is so one-sided and narrow-minded that they could peep through a keyhole with both eyes at the same time.
Why is the radical right so afraid of discoveing that there are two sides to every issue?
