Alberto Arriaga

Alberto Arriaga, 84, of Henderson died Monday in a local care center. He was born Sept. 10, 1920, in Puerto Rico. A resident for nine years, he was a retired taxicab driver.

He is survived by his wife, Petra; eight daughters, Beth Ortiz of Henderson, Ivette Olvera of San Bernardino, Calif., Luisa, Ruth and Aixa, all of Puerto Rico, Delfina of Florida, Gladys of New York and Bruni of Texas; and three sons, Carlos of Massachusetts and Leonardo and Emeliano, both of Puerto Rico.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Anthony Dean Brandon

Anthony Dean Brandon, 48, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local health care center. He was born July 31, 1956, in Havre De Grace, Md. A resident for 34 years, he owned and operated a construction company and was an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Susan A. Andino-Brandon; one daughter, Ashley Brandon-Ausiello, and one son, Anthony Lido Brandon, both of Las Vegas; his mother, Virginia Brandon, and three sisters, Kelly Brandon, Lindsay Brandon and Susan Thurmond, all of Henderson; and two brothers, Shawn Brandon of Henderson and Leland Brandon of Las Vegas.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, handled arrangements.

Ethel E. Fretter

Ethel E. Fretter, 85, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. She was born Oct. 30, 1919, in Cleveland. A resident for eight years, she was a retired insurance claims adjuster, a member of the Eastern Star and a local artist.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest H.; one son, Ernest F. Fretter of San Jose, Calif.; and one sister, Esther Kovalik of Brookpark, Ohio.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Green Valley Presbyterian Church, 1798 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Donald F. Hall

Donald F. Hall, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 13, 1935, in Murphysboro, Ill. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired controller in the gaming industry and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Y.; one daughter, Teresa Ann Ogden, one son, William E. Hall, and one granddaughter, Alyssa Nicole Ogden, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled noon until a 3 p.m. service Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests donations to San Diego State University Alumni Association.

Robin Land

Robin Land, 48, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 30, 1956, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a journeyman for Teamsters Union Local 631.

He is survived by one son, Jesse Land, one daughter, Nichole Land, his mother, Beverly Land, and three brothers, David Land, Dale Land, and William Land, all of Las Vegas; and one sister, Cheri D'Addario of Santa Clarita, Calif.

Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Palm Chapel, Eastern. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Noboru Barney Masuda

Noboru Barney Masuda, 60, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Sept. 24, 1944, in Tokyo. A resident for three years, he was a retired limousine owner-operator.

He is survived by his wife, Mutsuko; and two daughters, Michelle Masuda of South San Francisco and Melody Masuda of North Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Mildred Elizabeth Pardo

Mildred Elizabeth Pardo, 81, of Las Vegas died June 13 in Las Vegas. She was born May 22, 1924, in Illinois. A resident for 30 years, she was an accountant for county services.

She is survived by her husband, Ruben; one daughter, Sharon Kaldenberger of Elkhorn, Wis.; and many grandchildren.

Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane, handled private arrangements.

Kathleen C. Vorce

Kathleen C. Vorce, 77, of Las Vegas died June 24 in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 7, 1927, in Lake Point, Utah. A resident for 37 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Mark Vorce, William Vorce and David Vorce, and two daughters, Kathleen Nakanishi and Mary Owens, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Virginia Feller of Bountiful, Utah; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Jerri Lynn White

Jerri Lynn White, 52, of Indianapolis died Thursday. She was born Aug. 15, 1952, in Beech Grove, Ind. A former Las Vegas resident, she was a bank teller, a gas station cashier, a manager and tax preparer, a casino pit boss and assistant casino manager.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald W.; two sons, Wayne and Todd White, and her mother, Dorothy Hodge, all of Indianapolis; four sisters, Vickie Thornburg and Pamela Cliburn, both of Greenwood, Ind., Theresa Murphy of Carmel, Ind., and Terri Oswalt of Mooresville, Ind.; two brothers, Ronald of Jacksonville, Fla., and Steven Jenkins of Fontana, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Indianapolis. Little & Sons Funeral Home, Indianapolis, is handling arrangements.
