SUN WASHINGTON BUREAU
WASHINGTON -- A man who works for Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid is back at work after being arrested when he held up an anti-war sign during the inauguration ceremony last week.
The Washington newspaper, The Hill, reported Wednesday that Nathan Ackerman, 36, held up a sheet that said "No War" and argued with members of the audience before he was arrested. The arrest was aired by ABC News on Inauguration Day, the newspaper reported.
Reid spokeswoman Tessa Hafen said the senator was not aware of Ackerman's actions and does not condone what he did.
Ackerman does not have a legislative role in Reid's office; he works as a television producer for the Senate Democratic Communications Committee, of which Reid is in charge.
