Louis 'Ray' Carter
Louis "Ray" Carter, 80, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 10, 1924, in Clayton, N.M. A resident for 38 years, he was a retired operating engineer and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda Morgan of Las Vegas and Dana Wruble of Kenmore, Wash.; three sons, Jerry Carter of Las Vegas, Bill Schwabenland of Bothell, Wash., and Donald Carter of Germany; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. is handling arrangements.
John T. Conley
John T. Conley, 57, of Las Vegas died Jan. 14 in a local hospital. He was born March 22, 1947, in Utica, N.Y. A resident for six years, he was a insurance representative and Vietnam War veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Marni; two sons, John Conley Jr. of Rochester, N.Y., and Matthew Brooks of Las Vegas; one daughter, Pamela Hamad of Connecticut; his mother, Jean B. Hoetzer; and one grandchild.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

Claire Edwards
Claire Edwards, 89, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born June 3, 1915, in Israel. A resident for 45 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Delon of Henderson; and one son, Colin Edwards of Melbourne, Australia.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Susan Ellen Gaxiola
Susan Ellen Gaxiola, 46, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. She was born Aug. 5, 1958, in Lynwood, Calif. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Ed; one daughter, Andrea Gaxiola of Las Vegas; one son, Joshua Gaxiola of Henderson; her parents, Patricia and Melvin Monteiro of Temecula, Calif.; and three sisters, Cynthia Dietz of Santa Ana, Calif., and Seana Aguirre and Kelly Monteiro, both of Temecula.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
John J. Hackett
John J. Hackett, 82, of Las Vegas died in Wednesday in a local care center. He was born Aug. 30, 1922, in New York. A resident for 20 years, he was a stationary engineer for a heating and air cooling company, a Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; one son, Michael; one daughter, Maureen; one brother, William; and four grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Angelina LaRocca
Angelina LaRocca, 88, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born April 12, 1916, in Detroit. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Clara Loukas of Las Vegas and Theresa Pringle of Detroit; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Jack 'Ian' Lowe
Jack "Ian" Lowe, 1 day old of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 19, 2005, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his parents, Ruby and Perry Lowe, one sister, Zion Lowe and his grandparents, Kerry and Phyllis Johnson and Jack and Pat Lowe, all of North Las Vegas; and his great-grandmothers, Minnie Lee Perkins of Oklahoma and Nellie Hennon of Las Vegas.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in the LDS Clayton and Washburn chapel, 1921 Washburn Road, North Las Vegas. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.
Angelina Refugio Rendon Martinez
Angelina Refugio Rendon Martinez, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 2, 1931, in Velarde, N.M. A resident for 55 years, she was a nurse.
She is survived by four sons, Joe Isaac Martinez of Utah and Herman James Martinez, Billie Jo Martinez and Lehi Jason Martinez, all of Las Vegas; five daughters, Ruth Ann Johnson of Gilbert, Ariz., Michelle Wilkinson of Salt Lake City and J.L. Ecker, Tammy Taylor and Joy Martinez, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Joe I. Rendon of Grand Junction, Colo.; 24 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be noon-5 p.m. Sunday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the LDS Viking Ward chapel, 39 E. Viking Road. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.
Rudolf K. Onken
Rudolf K. Onken, 81, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born May 12, 1923, in Indonesia. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired aircraft electrician.
He is survived by his wife, Maria; two sons, Martin Rudolf Onken of Agoura Hills, Calif., and Dennis Augustinus Onken of Ponca City, Okla.; one daughter, Ruby Eleonore McConnell of Las Vegas; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph, Husband of Mary Catholic Church, 7260 W. Sahara Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Bill 'Chicken Bill' Reid
Bill "Chicken Bill" Reid, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 6, 1934, in Los Angeles. A resident for five years, he was a retired engineering consultant and an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by three daughters, Sharon Bragg of Jefferson City, Mo., and Jennifer Reid and Adrienne Reed, both of Key Largo, Fla.; one brother, Rick Hefner of Orange County, Calif.; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
Ruth H. Roland
Ruth H. Roland, 90, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 5, 1914, in Illinois. A resident for 14 years, she worked in the beverage industry.
She is survived by one great-nephew, Rustin Hileman of North Las Vegas.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Mary Jane Willis
Mary Jane Willis, 69, of Golden Valley, Ariz., died Jan. 4 in Las Vegas. She worked in the food service industry at a casino. She was born Feb. 20, 1935, in Spring Valley, Ill.
She is survived by one daughter, Julie Palmer; two sons, Sam Palmer and Michael Palmer; and one sister, Julia Erntz.
Services will be in Kingman, Ariz. Nevada Funeral Service, 725 S. Casino Center, Suite 208, is handling arrangements.
Crispin Ramos Valadez
Crispin Ramos Valadez, 77, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 25, 1927, in Mexico. A resident for 31 years, he was a retired dishwasher.
He is survived by one daughter, Blanca Viczko of Las Vegas; one son, Juan Ramos of Reseda, Calif.; four sisters; and six grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson handled arrangements.
Joseph C. Yuchasz
Joseph C. Yuchasz, 68, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 23, 1936, in Plymouth, Mich. A resident for 16 years, he was a retired automotive mechanic and a former president and lifetime member of the Eagles.
He is survived by his wife, Alice; four daughters, Debbie Noriga of Cocoa, Fla., Lyndsay Chase of Los Angeles, Joann Kirkey-Lo of Las Vegas and Luann Johnstone of Detour, Mich.; eight sons, Stuart Yuchasz of Las Vegas, Steve Yuchasz of Goodrich, Mich, Chris Yuchasz of Ortonville, Mich, Jeff Yuchasz of Milford, Mich, Ken Yuchasz of Summerset, Ohio, Dave Kirkey of Gilbert, Ariz, Rick Kirkey of Mesa, Ariz., and Gary Kirkey of Cocoa; one sister, Christine Jimerson of Las Vegas; 36 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 9-3 p.m. Saturday followed by a 5 p.m. service in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
Marjorie M. Wood
Marjorie M. Wood, 91, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born May 22, 1913, in Detroit. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Amaryth, Beauceant, White Shrine, and Daughters of the Nile.
She is survived by one daughter, Audrey J. Langlands-Weiss of Las Vegas; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
