John W. Coleman
John W. Coleman, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 29, 1934, in New Jersey. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired Air Force master sergeant and a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Leticia; two daughters, Josie Dangerfield of Austin, Texas, and Belinda Ludwig of Las Vegas; one son, Alonzo Coleman of Jacksonville, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation will be 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Charles Richard Conrad Jr.
Charles Richard Conrad Jr., 54, of Las Vegas died Jan. 12 in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 18, 1950, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a landscaper.
He is survived by his father, Charles Conrad Sr. of Ohio.
Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.
Perry Fortson
Perry Fortson, 88, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 26, 1916, in Louisiana. A resident for 62 years, he was a carpenter and a member of the Masons at Prince Hall.
He is survived by one daughter, Perryetta Fortson-Lacy of Las Vegas; one brother, Ben Sherman of Shreveport, La.; three sisters, Ida B. Williams and Mimie Cherry of Shreveport and Annie T. Houston of San Francisco; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be noon until a 6 p.m. family hour at Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89106. Burial will follow in Bunkers Eden Vale Memorial Park, 1216 N. Las Vegas Blvd.
Grace Zsazsa-Ursala Harper
Grace Zsazsa-Ursala Harper, 44, of Las Vegas died Jan. 13 in Las Vegas. She was born May 23, 1960, in Wichita, Kan. A resident for 35 years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by one daughter, April Nichols, and her parents, Doris and Herman Harper, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Herman C. Harper Jr. of Las Vegas and Dale Harper of Oklahoma; and five sisters, Paula Seals and Cheryl Renfro, both of Oklahoma and Hermenia Harper, Jennifer Lewis and Jo M. Harper, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Thomas and Jones Chapel. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens, 6200 S. Eastern Ave.
Larry J. Kinney
Larry J. Kinney, 66, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born May 11, 1938, in Wilmot, Ark. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired owner of an equipment rental company and a member of the Shriners.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; two daughters, Terri Kinney of Las Vegas and Cindy Kinney of Studio City, Calif; and two grandchildren.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
John Robert O'Farrell
John Robert O'Farrell, 76, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born June 28, 1928, in New York City. A resident for 33 years, he was a retired Metro Police officer and a Vietnam War Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Marie; two sons, John Joseph and Kevin Michael; one daughter, Mary; two brothers, Edward and William; and one sister, Marie.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society.
The family suggests donations to PanCan Cancer Society, 2221 Rosecrans Ave. Ste. 131, El Segundo, CA 90245.
Heather Santer
Heather Santer, 33, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 5, 1971, in New York City. A resident for 9 1/2 years, she was a waitress for a catering company.
She is survived by her parents, Arlene and Harvey Santer, and one brother Ian Santer, all of Las Vegas; and one sister, Nicole Santer of Arizona.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday in Palm Valley View Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to National Mental Health Association 2001 N. Beauregard St., 12th floor, Alexandria, VA 22311.
Edward Stokas
Edward Stokas, 58, of Las Vegas died June 28, 2004, in Las Vegas. He was born May 11, 1946, in Illinois. A resident for 20 years, he was a traffic manager for Merillat, a local appliance company, for which he traveled all over the country. He was a great father, brother, son, uncle, business associate and friend. Most of all, he was a very good man who lived life to the fullest. He was taken from his family very suddenly and none of them really got the chance to say goodbye, nor express the care and love they had in their hearts for him.
He is survived by two sons, Adam Stokas of Carol Stream, Ill., and Todd Stokas of Hudson, Fla.; his mother, Catherine Stokas, one brother, Robert Stokas Sr., and one sister, Sharon Stokas, all of Oak Lawn, Ill.; one grandson, Zachary Stokas of Carol Stream; and two nephews, Michael Stokas and Robert Stokas Jr., both of Palos Heights, Ill.
No local services were scheduled. Burial was in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elmwood, Ill. Hites Funeral Home, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, handled arrangements.
