PR writing class planned at UNLV

Richard Becker, president of Copywrite Ink, will teach Writing for Public Relations through the Division of Educational Outreach, during an 11-week course from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. beginning Thursday.

The class will be held at UNLV's Paradise Campus, 851 E. Tropicana Ave.

The class emphasizes the application of practical writing and strategic communication skills to real-life case studies and experience. The instructor will also stress the importance of considering the role of public relations from the perspective of journalists. Rabbi Yocheved Mintz will host a 10-week winter series

of Jewish classes beginning Monday. The series includes Services of the Heart (exploring prayer and the Jewish Prayer Book), classes in conversational and Biblical Hebrew (for beginners and advanced), Preparing for an Adult Bar/Bat Mitzvah, and Torah L' Shma (studying just for the fun of it).
