Michael Bailey

Michael Bailey, 53, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 8, 1952, in Chicago. A resident for eight years.

He is survived by his mother, Prodice Bailey; and one sister, Beverly Hendersen.

Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling private arrangements.

Zydel Kianna Bonner

Zydel Kianna Bonner, 1 month, died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 6, 2004, in Las Vegas.

She is survived by her mother, Zugey K. Velarde, her father, Christopher L. Bonner, both of Las Vegas; her grandparents, Ramon C. and Gloria Velarde of El Centro, Calif., and Gloria J. Fuller of Roanoke, Va.

Visitation will be two hours prior to a 5 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Carol L. Burns

Carol L. Burns, 73, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 19, 1931, in Milwaukee. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Fred W. Jr.; three sons, Jeffrey W. Burns of Las Vegas, Frederick W. Burns IV of Sussex, Wis., and Daniel W. Burns of Fall River, Wis.; one daughter, Judith M. Inhoff of Sussex; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Anthony J. Duquette

Anthony J. Duquette, 43, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 24, 1961, in Brockton, Mass. A resident for six years, he was a retired painter.

He is survived by his wife, Karen J. Dion; two daughters, Adrian Duquette of Henderson and Heather Richmond of Brockton; his parents, Rita and Alfred Duquette Sr. of Henderson; two sisters, Victoria Joseph and Charlene DoSantos, both of Brockton; two brothers, Alfred J. Duquette Jr. of Henderson and Richard Duquette of Brockton; and three grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson is handling arrangements.

Jerald Dennis Grandstaff

Jerald Dennis Grandstaff, 45, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 18, 1959, in Hot Springs, Ark. A longtime resident, he was a mechanic.

He is survived by one daughter, Angie Marie Elder; and two granddaughters.

Toby Greene

Toby Greene, 83, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Nov. 30, 1921, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 18 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Rosalie Finchler of Las Vegas; two sons, Steven Greene of Lompoc, Calif., and Alan Greene of Coral Springs, Fla.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were scheduled at 10 a.m. today in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane, handled arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Daniel F. Guastaferro

Daniel F. Guastaferro, 27, of Las Vegas died Jan. 7 in Iraq. He was born Jan. 5, 1978, in Bellflower, Calif. A resident for 12 years, he was an Army specialist.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Carol A. and Robert G. Fabbri, his stepmother and father, Renee L. and Frank Guastaferro, and one sister Christine A. Suarez, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Christopher R. Hester, 28, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A cook, he was born April 18, 1976, in Little Rock, Ark.

He is survived by two sisters, Angel Olson of Moscow, Idaho, and Teresa Lackey of Las Vegas.

Soledad Iolani Lancaster

Soledad Iolani Lancaster, 57, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 19, 1947, in Hilo, Hawaii. A resident for seven years, she was an insurance claims adjuster.

She is survived by one son, Joe E. Ramirez; one daughter, Kimberly A. Berry; her stepfather, James Lancaster; one brother, Kawaileleoohi'ilawe; and three grandchildren.

John Edward Lowry Jr.

John Edward Lowry Jr., 69, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born May 31, 1935, in San Diego. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired sheet metal worker and Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Sally M.; one son, Erik J. Lowry of Chapin, S.C.; one daughter, Anna M. Barrington of Kettering, Ohio; his mother, Marie A. Lowry of Julian, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in River Oaks Mobile Home club house, 5300 Desert Inn Road. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Antonio Barbuco Navales Sr.

Antonio Barbuco Navales Sr., 72, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. A kitchen aide at the Rampart casino, he was born Feb. 14, 1932, in the Philippines.

He is survived by three daughters, Laarni Dacanay, Gigi Mae Sumalin and Wenona Navales; four sons, Antonio Navales, Alvin Navales, Abner Navales and Jonathan Navales; his mother, Jacinta Navales; seven brothers; three sisters; and 14 grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. today and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday in Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St.

Dorie Renaud

Dorie Renaud, 88, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 20, 1916, in Huntington Beach, Calif. A resident for two years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Murray Kellman and Rick Kellman, both of Las Vegas, and Jerry Sparks of Temecula, Calif.; one daughter, Florence Scheller of Las Vegas; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest.

Dorotha L. Richardson

Dorotha L. Richardson, 68, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born April 23, 1936, in Arkansas. A resident for 43 years, she was a retired case worker for Clark County Social Services.

She is survived by three sons, Mike Richardson of Henderson and Gary Richardson and Doug Richardson, both of Las Vegas; two sisters, Tina Swisher of Colorado and Juanita of New Mexico; two brothers, Levi Scarberry and Jimmy Scarberry, both of New Mexico; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at the family residence of Gary and Rhonda Richardson. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Louise L. Sarko

Louise L. Sarko, 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. A retired retail inspector, she was born June 27, 1916, in White Pine, Mich.

She is survived by one daughter, Kathy L. Belmonte of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Antar Sha-Dee

Antar Sha-Dee, 61, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born March 21, 1943, in Alabama. A resident for many years, he was a lawyer and an Army veteran.

He is survived by three sons, Antar Ali Sha-Dee, Alfie Foreman and Gerald Rivers; one daughter, Tonia Rivers; one sister, Constance Colvin; and 15 grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Monday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Melvin A. Weber

Melvin A. Weber, 78, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born Jan. 15, 1926, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 50 years, he was a retired casino executive and a World War II Navy veteran.

Martha J. Zeck

Martha J. Zeck, 100, of Las Vegas died Monday in a care center. She was born July 3, 1904, in St. Louis Park, Minn. A resident for 42 years, she was a retired registered nurse.

She is survived by her nephew, Don Petersen of Parker, Ariz.

Graveside services were scheduled at 2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
