Letter: No law is needed for gift cards

Your Sunday editorial on solving the gift-card problem is typical thinking for the nanny-state liberals. If there's a problem, even of miniscule proportions, pass a law.

The real solution to gift cards with declining values is to simply not buy them. We don't need legislators to get involved at all.

If you've been duped into buying a declining value card, remember where you got it and don't patronize that store. Or sue them in small claims for misrepresentation. Or read the terms of the card. Or buy one at a store that does not devalue your purchase.

Simple problem. Simple solution.
