Workshop offered for homebuyers
A free homebuyer workshop will be offered 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday at North Las Vegas Library, 2300 Civic Center Drive.
Learn how you can get information about how to begin, how much cash you'll need, and learn about credit and qualifying for a loan.

Tickets available for Ayalon speech
As part of the Greenspun Lecture Series, Daniel Ayalon, Israeli ambassador to the United States, will speak on "Prospects for Peace in the Middle East" at a special presentation 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at UNLV.
The event is free, but tickets are required and available at the UNLV Performing Arts Center box office.

Misti K. Kooyman, a recent graduate of UNLV's
Department of Political Science, will be awarded the 2003/2004 Nevada Centennial Medallion during a luncheon sponsored by the Rotary Club of Las Vegas noon Thursday at Lawry's Prime Rib, 4043 Howard Hughes Parkway. The Centennial Medallion is one of 101 original medallions presented to UNLV by the Rotary Club since 1964 to recognize the state's centennial celebration. Call 895-3101.
