Chamber symphony sets concert Sunday
The Nevada Chamber Symphonywill present the second concert of its Master Classics Series at 3 p.m. Sunday in the theater of the Clark County Library, 1401 E. Flamingo Road.
Under the baton of Conductor and Music Director Rodolfo Fernandez, the symphony's afternoon performance will include the first movement of the St. Paul Suite by Gustav Holst, as an overture, and continues with a four movement suite as a showcase piece in celebration of the orchestra's 20th season.
Admission is free, but reservations are suggested. Call 433-9280.
Meeting planned on Music Exchange
There will be an open orientation for students and community partners to learn more about The Music Exchange at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Doolittle Community Center, 1950 N. J St.
The Music Exchange is seeking support and donations of new and used instruments so that it can give the gift of music to students in the lower socioeconomic areas. Call 617-4759.
Residents of Las Vegas City Council Ward 4
who want to discuss issues affecting their communities and talk to Councilman Larry Brown in person can do so at a meeting scheduled 5:30 p.m. Tuesday at Desert Shores Clubhouse, 2500 Regatta Drive. Call 229-6582.
