NLV City Council schedules special meeting

The North Las Vegas City Council will hold a special meeting Wednesday afternoon to review its 20-year strategic plan and celebrate its adoption.
In April, the council appointed a 15-member committee that between July and February developed the so-called Visioning 2025 Strategic Plan with the help of the public. The group of residents and members of the business community dealt with such issues as fiscal management of the city, municipal services, economic development and redevelopment, quality growth, cultural amenities, a safe and livable community and city pride.
The strategic plan serves as a blueprint for the city to follow over the next two decades. It will be updated every three to five years.
Among some of the suggestions in the plan:
The meeting will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the council chambers, 2200 Civic Center Drive. A celebration will follow in the City Hall lobby.
