A 32-year-old pediatrician accused of child molestation and child porn possession in Las Vegas has been charged with similar crimes in California.
In that state, Dr. David Glenn Evans now is charged with 32 felonies in connection to alleged interaction with a child under the age of 14, according to Amador County authorities.
In Las Vegas, he faces a total of 61 felonies, including six counts of sexually assaulting a minor, 10 counts of lewdness with a minor and 40 counts of child pornography possession.
Evans, 32, a resident at the University of Nevada School of Medicine since the summer, worked at University Medical Center and Sunrise Hospital, but police have not reported uncovering any evidence linking him to any children he met through his job.
If found guilty as charged in Las Vegas, Evans could be sentenced to life in prison.
He is scheduled for arraignment before Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Joseph Bonaventure on March 9.
Evans will not face the charges in California until after his case in Las Vegas has concluded.
