Mary W. Bagley

Mary W. Bagley, 83, of Las Vegas died Feb. 5 in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 15, 1921, in New York. A resident for 12 years, she was an actress and a member of the Screen Actors Guild.

She is survived by her husband, Mark B.; one daughter, Susan Savino; and one brother, John W. Walsh.

Neptune Society of Las Vegas, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., handled arrangements.

Lester Wayne Clayton

Lester Wayne Clayton, 72, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 23, 1932, in Butler, Okla. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired grocery clerk and a Korean War Air Force veteran.

He is survived by two brothers, and two sisters, all of Polk County, Mo.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Jeff A. Daugherty

Jeff A. Daugherty, 80, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born April 3, 1924, in Arkansas. A resident for 35 years, he was an Army veteran.

He is survived by six daughters, Dorothy McNair, Betty Graves, Willie Daugherty and Pennie Daugherty, all of Las Vegas, Nora Daugherty of Flagstaff, Ariz., and Jane Williams of Wichita, Kan.; four sons, Robert Daugherty, Grady Daugherty, Dewey Daugherty and Gary Daugherty, all of Las Vegas; 23 grandchildren; and 52 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Thursday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home. Graveside services will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Jacqueline Victoria Driver

Jacqueline Victoria Driver, 67, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 4, 1937, in Landisville, N.J. A resident for 23 years, she was a retired nurse and a Navy veteran.

She is survived by one daughter, Lisa Ratliff of Smyrna, Tenn.; one son, Michael Driver; her friend, Broadus Day of Las Vegas; and 10 grandchildren.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Haakon 'J.R.' Hanson

Haakon "J.R." Hanson, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 19, 1933, in Manchester Township, Minn. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired lineman and trouble shooter for the power company, president of the Las Vegas Fly Fishing Club and member of Trout Unlimited.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline; one son, David Hanson of Aurora, Colo.; one daughter, Karen Hanson of Las Vegas; three brothers, Elmer Hanson of Wichita, Kan., Dean Hanson of Umatilla, Fla., and Harold Hanson of Long Lake, Minn.; three sisters, Helen Larson of Austin, Minn., Stella Sorbo of Two Harbors, Minn., and Anna Henry of Chaska, Minn.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Shirley Harris

Shirley Harris, 54, of Las Vegas died Feb. 5 in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 5, 1951, in Louisiana. A resident for 49 years, she was a nurse's aide at a convalescent home.

She is survived by two daughters, LeSonya Harris and Danielle Harris, two sons, Darrell Harris and Barry Harris, her stepfather, Wallace Morgan, one brother, Noel Harris, and her grandmother, Maggie Gordon, all of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Joseph H. Jackson

Joseph H. Jackson, 74, of Las Vegas died Feb. 16 in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 15, 1930, in Kansas City, Mo. A resident for nine years, he was a retired financial consultant for an automotive leasing company and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marsha L.; two sons, Joseph H. Jackson Jr. of Arcadia, Calif., and Terry Jackson of San Jose, Calif.; four daughters, Kathy Gares and Jo Ann Payne, both of Garland, Texas, Natalie Schild of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., and Sharon Pomeroy of Alexandria, Va.; three brothers, John J. Jackson Jr. of Palmdale, Calif., Robert Jackson of Banning, Calif., and Michael Jackson of Fallbrook, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the LDS chapel at El Capitan Way and Alexander Road. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Evelyn Lucille Lawrey

Evelyn Lucille Lawrey, 88, of Pahrump died Thursday in Las Vegas. She was born April 14, 1916, in Illinois. A resident for 18 years, she was a waitress, a member of Classey Ladies and Bunko.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Lawrey and Robert Lawrey; one daughter, Diane Thomas-Carey; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Minerva 'Mickie' Lichtman

Minerva "Mickie" Lichtman, 73, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born May 18, 1931, in Brooklyn, N.Y. A resident for 13 years, she was a homemaker, a member of Las Vegas Community Theater, West Flamingo Senior Center acting director and the Utopia Jewish Center of Queens, N.Y.

She is survived by two daughters, Laura Lichtman and Ronda Lichtman, both of Las Vegas; one son, Steven Lichtman of Flushing, N.Y.; three sisters, Anna Lapidus, Dorothy Bellovin and Ida Leviton, all of Florida; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane.

The family suggests donations to the West Flamingo Senior Center.

Lillian Lila Lang Miller

Lillian Lila Lang Miller, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 22, 1924, in Bismarck, N.D. A resident for 43 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Mike Miller of St. George, Utah, and Randy Miller and Gary Miller, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Bernyce Koenig of Las Vegas; two brothers, Jack Lang of Jacksonville, Fla., and Warren Lang of Minot, N.D.; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10-10:45 a.m. Thursday followed by 11 a.m. services in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will be in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Maude L. Nelson

Maude L. Nelson, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. A saleswoman and seamstress, she was born Nov. 20, 1925, in Texas.

She is survived by one daughter, Janice Manuel of Las Vegas; one son, John Johnson, and one brother, Tillman Carr, both of California; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Thursday in Tried Stone Baptist Church, 621 W. Carey Ave., North Las Vegas. Services will be noon Friday in Tried Stone Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Leon Page, 59, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. A hotel porter, he was born Aug. 29, 1945, in Louisiana.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; four daughters, Leslie Manor, Patricia Whitfield and Mary Whitfield, all of Las Vegas, and Jackie Page of California; two brothers, Leotis Page of Texas and Jessie Hunter of Arkansas; two sisters, Martha Williams of Louisiana and Viola White of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1-8 p.m. Friday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Greater St. Paul Church of God in Christ, 911 N. G St. Burial will follow in Bunkers' Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Walter Thomas Sapling

Walter Thomas Sapling, 72, of Las Vegas died Feb. 1 in Las Vegas. He was born July 24, 1932, in California. A resident for 12 years, he worked in land management for the railroad, was a veteran, a member of the Elks, Moose, Spendrift Yacht Club and Marines Memorial.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Marie; one son, Thomas; two daughters, Christine Rodriquez-Vigil and Catherine Moller; one brother, Theodore Sapling; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Arthur E. Stevens

Arthur E. Stevens, 88, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 10, 1916, in Shiner, Texas. A resident for 24 years, he was a retired security officer and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mattie P.; six daughters, Brenda Rodriguez of Houston and Patricia Howard, Sherita Williams, Yolanda Walker, Cassandra Reed and Lassandra Quick, all of Las Vegas; and three sons, Carmel Stevens of Los Angeles and Glenn Walker and Todd Walker, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main.

Bill Verzani

Bill Verzani, 77, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Feb. 14, 1928, in Imperial, Calif. A resident for 45 years, he was a retired truck driver.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, Billie Ann Sewell; and three brothers, Hart Verzani, Joe Verzani and Ralph Verzani.

He is survived by two daughters, Susan Verzani of North Las Vegas and Sharon Calles of Caliente; one son, Everett Verzani of Las Vegas; his ex-wife and friend, Elsie Verzani, and three brothers, Ray Verzani, George Verzani and Ted Verzani, all of Las Vegas; four sisters, Velma Horn of Logandale, Julia Harris of St. Joseph, Mo., Dolly Rossen of Las Vegas and Wilma Motsinger of Henderson; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 11 a.m. until a 1 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Sandra D. Walrath

Sandra D. Walrath, 55, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born April 16, 1949, in Council Bluffs, Iowa. A resident for 42 years, she was a mortgage underwriter.

She is survived by one daughter, Rachael Walrath of Henderson; and one brother, Steve Walrath of California.

Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
