Fourth-quarter profit rises

Domino's Pizza Inc., a pizza delivery chain that went public last year, said net income in its fiscal fourth quarter rose as distribution sales and cheese prices climbed.
Net income rose to $27 million, or 38 cents a share, in the quarter ended Jan. 2, from $21.3 million, or 33 cents, a year earlier, the Ann Arbor, Mich.-based company said in a statement. Revenue rose 11 percent to $478.5 million.
Domino's said its domestic distribution sales, which include the sale of cheese and other products to franchisees, gained about 11 percent, to $262.8 million. The average cheese price per pound rose 5.2 percent, to $1.61, from a year earlier.
