15 county residents named to state boards

CARSON CITY -- Gov. Kenny Guinn has named 15 Clark County residents to state boards, including eight people to the Advisory Council on Education Relating to the Holocaust.
Appointed to the advisory council on Friday were Sanford Akselrad, Bruno Borenstein, Duane Lawrence, Judy Mack, Terry Mannion, Vernon Mattson and Edythe Yarchever, all of Las Vegas, and Robin Greenspun of Henderson.
The governor also appointed Dr. Hulwen Zhang and Dr. Victor Klausner to the Oriental Medicine Board. Both doctors live in Las Vegas.
The governor selected Richard Becker and Robyn Clayton and Gina Polovina, all of Las Vegas, to the National Community Service Commission.
Clark County Commissioner Myrna Williams of Las Vegas was selected for the Board of Trustees of the Fund for Hospital Care for Indigent Persons.
