Investigators with the Nevada Secretary of State's Securities Division have arrested former Edward Jones sales representative Vincent Earl Cunningham for allegedly pilfering $29,000 from a Las Vegas client's account.
The criminal complaints charges two felony forgery counts for the unauthorized transfer of $15,000 out of an account in January 2003 and another transfer from the same account of $14,000 a month later, a statement from the division said. The state alleges that the money was used to help a friend of Cunningham purchase a home and used to provide a loan to a local businessman.
Cunningham turned himself in to authorities on Tuesday. As of Thursday afternoon he was still in custody, said Francis Arenas, chief of enforcement for the Securities Division.
