The state Public Utilities Commission has scheduled two Las Vegas-area consumer sessions for Friday in an effort to gather public input on Nevada Power Co.'s proposed $115.9 million rate increase.
The Las Vegas electric company also has asked for permission to delay the implementation of the rate increase until April 2006.
Hearings will be held at 10 a.m. at the Winchester Community Center, 3130 S. McLeod Dr., and 2:30 p.m. at the Sahara West Library, 9600 W. Sahara Ave.
