Jaime C. Alirez

Jaime C. Alirez, 34, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born June 15, 1970, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a fork lift operator.

He is survived by three sons, Zai Alirez, Kyle Alirez and Devon Alirez, his mother, Nona O'Hara, and one sister, Kelly Alirez, all of Las Vegas; and one brother, Rico Dye of Henderson.

Visitation is scheduled noon-3 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will follow at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Dorothy Barnes

Dorothy Barnes, 81, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Feb. 21, 1923, in Moroni, Utah. A resident for 21 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Melvin J.; one son, Spenser Barnes, three daughters, Verletta Rudquist, Shirlene Brannon and Jennifer Tracey, and one brother, Wendell Rundquist, all of Las Vegas; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Mildred E. Behm

Mildred E. Behm, 72, of Las Vegas died Feb. 3 in a local hospital. She was born June 13, 1932, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 20 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, William R.; one son, Stephen Behm of Las Vegas; and two daughters, Joan I. Steere of Virginia and Phyllis A. Hohe of Ohio.

A memorial service was held Feb. 10 at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled arrangements.

James Grace Jr.

James Grace Jr., 49, of Las Vegas died Jan. 13 in Las Vegas. He was born July 4, 1955, in Las Vegas. He was a general laborer.

He is survived by one son, James; one daughter, Alisa; three brothers, Roy, Kenneth and Arthana; and three sisters, Shirley, Patricia and Diane.

Debra F. Green

Debra F. Green, 51, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 6, 1953, in San Mateo, Calif. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Danny; two daughters, Charity Green and Jennifer Green, her mother, Rosarie Johnson, one brother, David Johnson, and two sisters, Diane Sumner and Dorothy Herbes, all of Las Vegas.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Betty L. Hotham

Betty L. Hotham, 85, of Las Vegas died Feb. 9 in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 23, 1919, in Mechanicsburg, Pa. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired director of nurses.

She is survived by one son, Michael J. Hotham, and one daughter, Deborah J. Deitsch, both of Las Vegas; one stepson, Jay Hotham, and one stepdaughter, Rill Ferree, both of York, Pa.; and six grandchildren.

Services will be in Pennsylvania. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Karen J. Hughes

Karen J. Hughes, 62, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born April 28, 1942, in Spokane, Wash. A resident for 26 years, she was a retired diabetes educator.

She is survived by her husband, Stanley W.; four sons, Michael S. Hughes, Stanley Hughes, Kenneth R. Hughes and Geoffrey R. Hughes, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Charles V. Cornell of Spokane; three sisters, Barbara Rice of Tri Cities, Wash., Janet Batson of Olympia, Wash., and Patricia Kacalek of Spokane; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Friday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Richard G. Jordan

Richard G. Jordan, 68, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 21, 1936, in Mankato, Minn. A resident for 26 years, he was a retired Navy E-7 and Vietnam War veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Juanita "Dutchy"; two sons, Richard T. Jordan of Dixon, Ill., and Joshua Jordan of Albuquerque; two daughters, Sheri Jordan of Oregon and Jacki Nocerino of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Maurice Edward Joyner

Maurice Edward Joyner, 81, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 2, 1923, in Lacona, N.Y. A resident for 43 years, he was a World War II Navy veteran, a retired Westinghouse employee, a member of the UNLV Alumni, Phi Kappa Phi and North Las Vegas Planning Commission.

He was preceded in death by one son, Scott.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Hazel; six children, Susan, Christina, Mike, Laurie, Betsy and Kerry; 14 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Nellis Air Force Base Chapel. Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling arrangements.

Geraldine Lightenburger

Geraldine Lightenburger, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. A homemaker, she was born Aug. 8, 1928, in Des Moines, Iowa.

She is survived by one son, Greg Lightenburger of Las Vegas; two daughters, Denise Lightenburger of Arcadia, Calif., and Madylon Lightenburger of Las Vegas; one brother, Donald Switzer of Sacramento; and two grandchildren.

Norma Medrano

Norma Medrano, 42, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born July 4, 1962, in Santa Ana, Calif. A resident for four years, she was a respiratory therapist.

She is survived by three daughters, Olivia Grafer of Las Vegas and twins, Melanie Coquillard and Melissa Coquillard, both of Chicago; one son, Michael Medrano, and two sisters, Diane Medrano and Sandra Medrano, all of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Carlos Medrano Jr. of Las Vegas and Richardo Rodriguez of Aurora, Ill.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 3 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Main.

Margaret Rose Morabito

Margaret Rose Morabito, 76, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born July 28, 1928, in New York City. A resident for 12 years, she was a bartender.

She is survived by three sons, Rocky Morabito, John Morabito and Tim Morabito; one daughter, Denise Nusser; and one sister, Helen Schkinder.

Visitation is scheduled noon-3 p.m. Monday in Garden Memorial Funeral Home, 3600 W. Vegas Drive. Services and burial are private.

Walter Perkins Jr.

Walter Perkins Jr., 71, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 17, 1934, in Louisiana. A resident for 50 years, he was an equipment operator at a metal plant.

He is survived by his wife, Edna; three daughters, Jeanette Johnson of California, Janice Perkins-Spell of New Jersey and Beverly L. Perkins of Las Vegas; one brother, Pastor Richard L. Perkins, and four sisters, Louise Collier, Ida Grier, Edna Perkins and Ada Dee, all of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Kenneth Eugene Pollard Jr.

Kenneth Eugene Pollard Jr., 59, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born July 17, 1945, in Los Angeles. A resident for 27 years, he owned and operated a vacuum repair business.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqulyn; one son, Kenneth Eugene Pollard III of Las Vegas; one sister, Tina Ketcham of Henderson; four brothers, Dwayne Servillo, Anthony Servillo and Vincent Servillo, all of California, and Tim Pollard of Henderson; and one granddaughter.

Earl J. Rawlins, 79, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in North Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 10, 1925, in Hawaii. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired heavy equipment operator.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; two daughters, Deborah Quattrone and Earlette Benevedes, both of Henderson; one son, Cody Rawlins of Seattle; four brothers, Joe Rawlins, Jimmy Rawlins, Bobby Rawlins and Elroy Rawlins, and one sister, Rosemarie Faustin, all of Honolulu; and two grandchildren.
