Two women injured in crash

Monday, Feb. 14, 2005 | 11:08 a.m.

Two women were injured about 9:30 p.m. Sunday in a head-on collision on Tenaya Way near Belle Grove Avenue, Metro Police said.

Norma Jean Kinman, 79, of Las Vegas was driving a 1996 Mercury Cougar south on Tenaya when a northbound 2001 Lincoln LS driven by Rebekah Ehler, 49, crossed into the opposing lane, police said.

Ehler's car and Kinman's car collided, and police said Kinman's car was pushed back about 100 feet. Kinman is being treated for critical injuries at University Medical Center and Ehler is being treated for serious injuries. Police said alcohol impairment apparently caused the collision.

No charges have been filed. Police are still investigating.
