Meredith Earl Arnett

Meredith Earl Arnett, 63, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born May 7, 1941, in Yuma, Ariz., and was a courier in the title industry.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; two sons, Johnathan Wayne Arnett of Newport, Calif., and Charles Wayne Barnes of Austin, Texas; four daughters, Janet Lee Horner of Navarre, Fla., Sandra Delane Perry of Los Banos, Calif., Cynthia Kay Heyes of West Hills, Ind., and Carol Lynn LaHausky of Battle Creek, Mich.; one brother, Lucas Adley Arnett; and two sisters, Rosalie Headington of Henderson and Vera Mae Morris of Yuma.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Betty Buchanan

Betty Buchanan, 90, of Reno died Wednesday. She was born Oct. 2, 1914, in Arkansas. A resident for 52 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by three sons, Jim Buchanan of Great Falls, Mont., and Richard Buchanan and Tom Buchanan, both of Reno; four daughters, Louise Handlin of Reno, Margaret Michalec of Las Vegas, Ginger Whipple of Palm Desert, Calif., and Trudy Howarth of Wilmington, N.C.; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Viator's Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo road, Las Vegas, NV 89119. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Cemetery.

David Chang

David Chang, 81, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. He was born March 7, 1923, in Oakland, Calif. A resident for 59 years, he was a retired owner-operator of an oriental art goods store and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, May; one son, Russell Chang of Mill Valley, Calif.; two daughters, Lorna Hill of San Francisco and Marlene Chan of Las Vegas; five grandchildren; and one grandchild.

Services will be 3 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

The family suggests contributions to the donor's favorite charity.

Barbara J. Collins

Barbara J. Collins, 67, of Las Vegas died Jan. 30 in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 9, 1937, in Maui, Hawaii. A resident for 40 years, she was an administrative secretary.

She is survived by one son, Royce Leslie White; one sister, Dawn Karen Neese; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North is handling private arrangements.

Ann Patricia Deal

Ann Patricia Deal, 64, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born July 6, 1940, in England. A resident for 21 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry L.; two sons, Marc and Timothy; one brother, Christopher Edwards; one sister, Jacqueline Swinbrown; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 1-3 p.m. Thursday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Margaret 'Maggie' Elmore

Margaret "Maggie" Elmore, 84, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 27, 1920, in Page, Okla. A resident for 48 years, she was an owner of a crochet and knit supply store.

She was preceded in death by one son, Charles K. Hill.

She is survived by her husband, Jerry; two daughters, Connie Sheldon of Pahrump and Billie Gray of Tonopah; one son, Terry Elmore of Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Feb. 20 in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Annette Brough

Fowler

Annette Brough Fowler, 44, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 9, 1960, in Houston. A resident for three years, she was a legal investigator.

She is survived by her husband, Christopher; and her parents, Dorothy and William Brough of New Llano, La.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson.

Marie 'Mary' Goldschmied

Marie "Mary" Goldschmied, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born March 3, 1921, in New York City. A resident for 12 years, she was a homemaker and docent of the Biblical Garden of Pittsburgh and a volunteer for the Pittsburgh school district.

She is survived by one daughter, Wanda Grude of Las Vegas; three sisters, Lola Bauer of Miami, Eleanor Bazata of Mt. Swope, Va., and Dolores Wheeler of Pennsylvania; three brothers, Joe Perfumo of Miami and Eddy Perfumo and Lloyd Perfumo, both of Florida.

Graveside services will be in Pittsburgh. Arrangements handled by King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 E. Eldorado Lane, Las Vegas, NV 89120.

Da'Tracyon

Don'Shae Hall

Da'Tracyon Don'Shae Hall, one-month old, of Las Vegas died Feb. 1 in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 14, 2004, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his father, Da Shae Hall; his mother, Letrice Coleman; one brother, Stephen Hall; one sister, Da Shiya Hall; his grandparents, David Young, Armer Hall and Mildred Coleman; and his great-grandmother, Lucy Smith.

Visitation will be one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Roxye Naomi Hustler

Roxye Naomi Hustler, 87, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born March 7, 1917, in West Virginia. A resident for three years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, Robert Orr of Chester, W.Va.; two daughters, Elane N. Burleson of Las Vegas and Marcia Whitcomb of Anchorage, Alaska; one brother, Jack Handley of Phoenix; four sisters, Nell Adams of Ventura, Calif., Norma Lillard of Keni, Alaska, and Virginia Youree and Promise Rodgers, both of Soldotna, Alaska; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held today at Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.

Billie L. James

Billie L. James, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 9, 1933, in Los Angeles. A resident for 33 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Don L.; four daughters, Kim L. McGaha, Debbie L. White and Jill L. James, all of Las Vegas and Sandy L. Neubauer of Alexandria, Va.; one son, Mark L. James of Las Vegas; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be one hour prior to a 3 p.m. service Wednesday in Frenchman Hills LDS Ward, 375 N. Hollywood. Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Thursday in in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. is handling arrangements.

Wendy Kelley

Wendy Kelley, 64, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 19, 1940, in Miami. A resident for 15 years, she was a long-time employee of the MGM Grand hotel and casino.

She is survived by one sister, Celia Henry of Miami; and one uncle, Burton Cohen of Las Vegas.

Xee D. Lemke, 84, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born Oct. 14, 1920, in Illinois. A resident for 32 years, she was a medical clinic administrator and legal assistant for 17 years.

She is survived by one son, Dr. Jay Laurence Lemke of Ann Arbor, Mich.; one brother; and one sister.

John R. Loucks

John R. Loucks, 49, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 26, 1955, in Mt. Clemens, Mich. A resident for 22 years, he was a retail manager.

He is survived by one son, David M. Corder of Henderson; two brothers, Thomas M. Loucks of San Rafael, Calif., and Donald J. Loucks of Las Vegas; one sister, Bonnie J. Ronshaugen of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Joseph John Manna

Joseph John Manna, 82, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born May 9, 1922, in Baltimore. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired bartender at a local hotel and casino, a World War II Army veteran, and a member of the Culinary Union.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; three daughters, Cookie, Gina and Tonya; one son, Albert; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel. Burial will be private.

Jorge Raul Palacios

Jorge Raul Palacios, 88, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 11, 1916, in Chile. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a restaurant.

He is survived by two sons, Sergio A. Palacios of Las Vegas and Raul E. Palacios of Reno; three daughters, Monica Woodworth, Katty Castillo and Myriam Montalva, all of Las Vegas; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until a noon service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be in Palm Valley View Cemetery.

Barbara J. Rzonka

Barbara J. Rzonka, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 5, 1931, in Glenwood, Iowa. A resident for nine years, she was a retired medical librarian.

She is survived by her father, Eugene C. Hamilton of Las Vegas; one sister, Laureen Morrow of Acme, Pa.; and one brother, Kenneth Hamilton of Las Vegas.

Services and burial will be in Brea, Calif. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. is handling arrangements.

Colvin 'Bus' Smith

Colvin "Bus" Smith, 88, of Dewey, Ariz., died Saturday in Dewey. He was born Jan. 5, 1917, in DeQueen, Ark. A resident for 25 years, he was a retired CEO and President of Nevada State Bank and past president of the Chambers of Commerce.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; one daughter, Kathleen Franklin; one son, Steven Smith; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be in Prescott Valley, Ariz. Arizona Wakelin Bradshaw Chapel, 8480 E. Valley Road, Prescott Valley, AZ 86314 is handling arrangements.

Melvin D. Terry

Melvin D. Terry, 79, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born June 4, 1925, in St. George, Utah. A resident for many years, he was a heavy equipment operator and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Melba L.; one daughter, Jeanette Stewart; two sons, Steven Melvin Terry and Raymond Levanger Terry; one sister, Clara Joyce Brown; 12 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Christy/Kell LDS Chapel. Burial will be in Glendale, Utah.

Emma L. Williams

Emma L. Williams, 95, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born March 28, 1909, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired custodian.

She is survived by four daughters, Elizabeth West, Mary Stewart and Gladys Williams, all of Las Vegas and Emma Williams of Shreveport, La.; one son, Mack A. Williams of Atlanta; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
