Advisory council created

The National Center for Responsible Gaming created an advisory council at the organization's biannual meeting in Las Vegas in December.

The council will provide "ongoing tactical and financial support" for the center, the center said in a statement.

The National Center for Responsible Gaming was created by the American Gaming Association, a trade group of commercial casinos and slot makers, to raise money for research on problem gambling. The center is governed by a volunteer board of gaming industry representatives, public officials and treatment experts, among others.
