Flights planned between LV, Missoula, Mont.

Allegiant Air will offer nonstop flights between Las Vegas and Missoula, Mont., beginning next month.

The Las Vegas-based discount carrier which specializes in nonstop flights linking McCarran International Airport with secondary markets, will fly Thursdays and Sundays beginning March 31 to and from Missoula International Airport. The Montana city is the home of the University of Montana.

Flights on Allegiant's 150-seat twin-engine MD-80 jets will leave Las Vegas at 7:55 a.m., arriving in Missoula at 11:10 a.m., returning at 11:50 a.m., arriving at McCarran at 1 p.m.

Last week, Allegiant announced twice-weekly service to Tri-Cities Airport, which serves Richland, Pasco and Kennewick, Wash. The company currently flies between Las Vegas and 13 cities.
