Motorist Joe Dugay, above, passes a field sobriety test given by Nevada Highway Patrol Trooper Juan Hoskins Sunday after the Super Bowl. DUI checkpoints throughout the valley appeared to stem the number of serious traffic accidents often seen after the game, Sgt. Tracy McDonald of Metro Police's traffic investigation section said. Metro Officer Anthony Bricker, right, tests a driver at the same intersection, Flamingo Road and Duneville Street. By 10 p.m. Sunday, about 15 people had been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence at the checkpoint, Metro Sgt. Dave Lewis said. Last year a total of 15 arrests were made, he added.
