Robert Allan

Robert Allan, 64, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 17, 1940, in New York City. A resident for 30 years, he was a salesman of industrial chemicals and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Karol F.; two daughters, Tracey Willson of Las Vegas and Lori Braunstein of Aurora, Colo.; one son, Scott Allan of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103.

Malcolm W. Breshears

Malcolm W. Breshears, 87, of Boulder City died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born July 5, 1917, in Durant, Okla. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired mechanical engineer for an oil company and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; three sisters, Dorothy, Lorraine and Mary Ann, all of Oklahoma; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

George Gioia

George Gioia, 72, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born April 11, 1932, in Rochester, N.Y. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired drapery installer and a Korean War Coast Guard veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Angelina; four daughters, Georgia Schledorn of Newbury Park, Calif., and Charlene Lingle, Kari Swarms and Vicki Giese, all of Las Vegas; two sons, Joseph Gioia of Las Vegas and Stephen Gioia of Rohnert Park, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation is private. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Graveside services will be 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Barney Guy

Barney Guy, 59, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born March 15, 1945, in Richmond, Calif. A resident for 28 years, he was a drywall supervisor.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; two sons, Bob Guy and Jerry Guy, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Geneva Bennett of Bakersfield, Calif.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Chapel, Main. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Walter Edgar Hill

Walter Edgar Hill, 71, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 22, 1933, in Arp, Texas. A resident for 37 years, he was a retired automotive mechanic and an Army veteran.

He is survived by three sons, Delbert D. Hill, Clint W. Hill and Scott J. Hill, all of Las Vegas; three daughters, Robin Ann Wilmer of Logandale and Juanita E. Matthews and Vileta S. Aytes, both of Las Vegas; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Saturday at the Moose Lodge, 1600 Gragson Ave. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Mamie S. Hollen

Mamie S. Hollen, 78, of Las Vegas died Jan. 24 in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 26, 1926, in Mississippi. A resident for 30 years, she was a hotel housekeeper.

She is survived by two sons, Willie Fields and S.T. Fields, and one daughter, Rosie Fields, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Earlie Thomas, and two sisters, Katherine Crayton and Lucille Jenkins, all of Mississippi; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service Wednesday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Graveside services will follow at noon Thursday in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Annie Laura Jones

Annie Laura Jones, 49, of Las Vegas died Jan. 25 in Las Vegas. She was born May 3, 1955, in Mississippi. A resident for 41 years, she was a hotel guest room attendant.

She is survived by three sons, Patrick Jones Sr., Jermaine Jones and Luther Jones, and six sisters, Addella Thomas, Mary Hartaway, Emma Lawrence, Daisy Burkett, Sally Wynn and Brenda Whitlow, all of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Wednesday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be noon Thursday in Greater Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, 1915 Lexington St. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Lenore Jean Kessler

Lenore Jean Kessler, 78, of Henderson died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 23, 1926, in Ableman, Wis. A resident for 35 years, she was a retired restaurateur.

She is survived by one son, Tom Guth, and one daughter, Sally Guth-Aguilera, both of Henderson; and three grandchildren.

Theresa D. Kip

Theresa D. Kip, 44, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born March 3, 1960, in Quantico, Va. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired hotel cocktail waitress.

She is survived by two daughters, Shanti Huntington of Bend, Ore., and Athena Huntington of Las Vegas; one son, Ricky Kip, her mother, Linda Baker, and two sisters, Kami Strandrige and Renee Benoit, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Michael Flewelling of Tacoma, Wash.; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. today in the Grapevine Fellowship, 2323 S. Nellis Blvd. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Martin William Lehtinen

Martin William Lehtinen, 77, of Las Vegas died Jan. 22 in a local hospital. He was born in 1927 in Ishpeming, Mich. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired Korean War and Vietnam War Navy and Air Force Reserves veteran who received numerous medals and awards.

He is survived by nine children, Gail, Ann, Martin, Ralph, Wayne, Kevin and Stephen, all of Las Vegas, Kathleen of San Diego and Margaret of Indianapolis; one brother, Andrew Lehtinen of Chicago; and four sisters, Maryann Barr of Orangevale, Calif., and Jean Gogas, Gail Smith and Marlene Peterson, all of Portland, Ore.; and 21 grandchildren.

Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Feb. 26 at the Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 6220 N. Jones Blvd.

Janice Cordelia Ingram Morris

Janice Cordelia Ingram Morris, 60, of Henderson died Jan. 20 in Henderson. She was born Feb. 28, 1944.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Shauna Lynn Morris.

She is survived by her husband, Larry; one daughter, Suzanne Christensen; her mother, Eva Jean Ingram; and one sister, Carolyn Tippets of Green River, Utah.

No local services are scheduled. Russon Brothers Mortuary, Bountiful, Utah, is handling arrangements.

Rita M. Paliotta

Rita M. Paliotta, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born May 3, 1926, in Providence, R.I. A resident for more than 10 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, John Paliotta and Ed Paliotta, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Adeline Wilmot of Modesto, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to an 11 a.m. service Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Burial will be in Cranston, R.I.

James Marvin Stewart

James Marvin Stewart, 74, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born April 9, 1930, in Birmingham, Ala. A resident for 34 years, he was a retired Vietnam War and Korean War Air Force staff sergeant.

He is survived by two sons, James Stewart Jr. of Hong Kong and Douglas Stewart of Las Vegas; five daughters, Glenda Patterson, Shirley Stewart and Darinda Miles, all of Las Vegas, Iris Gardner of Reno and Pamela Mabry of Atlanta; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Trinity Life Center, 1000 E. St. Louis Ave. Burial will follow at 1:20 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Sandra Lee Theodore (Vossburg)

Sandra Lee Theodore (Vossburg), 58, of Flint, Mich., died Saturday. She was born Dec. 23, 1946, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 25 years, she owned and operated a pool cleaning company.

She is survived by one son, William P. Warden, and two daughters, Rebecca A. Warden and Jennifer J. Wirth, all of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 9 a.m. until an 11 a.m. service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

C.E. Wilson

C.E. Wilson, 91, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born May 5, 1913, in Ashland, Neb. A resident for 40 years, he was a retired retail business owner and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by one son, Ken Wilson of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 10-11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will follow in Palm Chapel, Eastern.
