Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2005 | 10:53 a.m.

Denver-based Titanium Metals Corp., which operates a plant in Henderson, today reported improved fourth quarter and annual earnings over comparable periods a year ago.

The company, which produces titanium metal products, reported fourth-quarter earnings of $11.2 million, 64 cents a share, on sales of $137 million, compared with $9.9 million, 62 cents a share, on sales of $100.6 million.

Timet officials said today that sales improved as a result of both sales volume and average selling prices. The company said product sales volume increased 20 percent over the previous year's fourth quarter while the average selling prices increased 12 percent.
