A clubbing New Year’s Eve
Friday, Dec. 30, 2005 | 9:14 a.m.
New Year's Eve revelers can ring in 2006 by hanging out for free on the Strip, or pay $40 for admission to the party at the Fremont Street Experience -- or spend hundreds (or thousands) of dollars at any of Las Vegas' nightclubs.
In no particular order, here is a sampling of what's happening at some of Las Vegas' roughly two dozen nightclubs:
Pure at Caesars Palace
Nicky Hilton and Kevin Connolly will lead the New Year's Eve party as Las Vegas' largest nightclub approaches its first anniversary. Tickets are $200. 474-4000.
Tao at The Venetian
Nicky's sister, Paris Hilton, is the scheduled host at the nightclub with hundreds of Buddha statues and a balcony view of fireworks. Advance tickets are $200. 388-8588.
Light at Bellagio
The $150 admission ticket includes a midnight toast, but the $275-per-person service for six brings Dom Perignon to the table. 693-8300.
Studio 54 at the MGM Grand
Tickets for the second-annual Party Under the Moon & Stars at this disco-inspired nightclub cost $150. 891-7777.
Club Rio at the Rio
The Rio's Black Out Bash will include performance artists, a rooftop view of the fireworks and a light show for $75. 777-7977.
Tangerine at Treasure Island
DJ Grandmaster Flash will spin in the New Year with guest Shannon Elizabeth of "American Pie." Patio view of fireworks. Tickets are $100. 894-7723.
Risque at Paris Las Vegas
Top 40, hip-hop and house music will play in three rooms. Admission is $75, with limited table and balcony reservations available. 946-4589.
Tryst at Wynn Las Vegas
Steve Wynn opened his new club this week; New Year's Eve tickets cost $150 for men, $100 for women. 770-3375
Jet at the Mirage
The midnight countdown at this two-day-old, three-room nightclub will be led by Kid Rock. Tickets are $200. 792-7900.
OPM at the Forum Shops at Caesars
DJ Kid Capri and 10,000 balloons will bring in the new year. Advance tickets cost $100. 369-4998.
Rain at Palms
DJ Sizzahandz will lead the champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $125 in advance, $150 at the door. 947-8833.
