Letter: Democrats need new leadership

Regarding the Dec. 12 letters from Timothy Carroll, "Plenty of sound reasons for war," and David B. Wilson, "Liberal platform is a weak foundation":

What are the Democrats going to run on in three years? There will be no George Bush to call names. I wish some of the lesser-known Democrats (potential leaders) would come up with something positive that the people could vote for.

Democratic Sens. Ted Kennedy, John Kerry, Harry Reid, etc., have nothing to offer but kid-acting name-calling -- and lies about how dumb Bush is but how clever he was to trick them into voting for this war.

Come on, Democrats. Come forward with positive reasons to vote you into power. We need you. We need a two-party system!
