The Week Ahead for Dec. 5, 2005

TODAY-SUNDAY: RODEO
National Finals Rodeo, Thomas & Mack Center
Tie me kangaroo down, sport. Ditto for them there calves. There's a whole lot of bull -- and bull riding -- scheduled for week two of the annual Super Bowl of pro rodeo. Moreover, with the cowboys occupying their home court, you don't have to watch the Rebels blow a 22-point lead for at least another week.

TODAY-FRIDAY: GOLF
Nevada Open at Mesquite
Most of the Silver State's best golfers -- and a few big hitters from outside Nevada who didn't play well enough to retain their PGA Tour cards in 2005 -- drive for show and putt for dough north of town.

TODAY-FRIDAY: VARIETY
ESPN'S "Cold Pizza" at Caesars Palace
The sports giant's answer to the "Today" show will be delivered from the Las Vegas Strip this week with a series of taped shows open to the public. So if you ever wanted to hold the anchovies with newspaper columnists turned semi-TV celebrities Skip Bayless and Woody Paige, this would the week.
