Looks like the Democrats may have a candidate for one of the constitutional offices they have yet to fill on their Campaign 906 scorecard. Alas, for the Democrats, it is not lieutenant governor. But in the all-important post of controller, distinguished by an impeached incumbent and abolishment attempts, a qualified candidate has surfaced. Her name is Kim Wallin, a successful accountant, lifelong Nevadan and former president of the prestigious Institute of Management Accountants. She would seem to be a giant compared to the dwarf presently sitting in the position, Kathy Augustine. But she's no shoo-in. The Republicans have at least one and maybe two qualified candidates of their own. If only the job mattered ...
