Donald David Charom
Donald David Charom, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 21, 1930, in Minneapolis. A resident for 10 years, he was retired.
He is survived by his wife, Anita; three sons, Gary of Los Angeles, Glen of Placerville, La., and Tom of West Hills, Calif.; two daughters, Elfi of San Mateo, Calif., and Suzy of Placentia, Calif.; two sisters, Janet and Renee; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.
Frank Hofsheier
Frank Hofsheier, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 25, 1927, in Omaha, Neb. A resident for nine years, he was a retired metallurgical experimental operator in the nuclear industry and a World War II Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Marianne; two daughters, Lynn Bott of Arvada, Colo., and Pam Davis of Bedford, Va.; one son, M. Richard Hofsheier of Raleigh, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 10 a.m. service Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Graveside services will be private.
The family suggests donations to the Las Vegas Humane Society, 2250 E. Tropicana Ave., Suite 19, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Jackson C. Hunter
Jackson C. Hunter, 79, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 15, 1925, in Long Beach, Calif. A resident for five years, he was a retired bartender, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Elks.
Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Julian D. Limas
Julian D. Limas, 74, of North Las Vegas died Saturday in North Las Vegas. A farmer, he was born Jan. 26, 1931, in El Salvador.
He is survived by six daughters, Amanda Vides, Regina Vides, Cruz Jimenez, Yeni Mckeown and Linda Aguirre, all of Las Vegas, and Mirian Mckeown of Florida; and one son, Julian Vides of Las Vegas.
Graveside services were scheduled at 2:15 p.m. today in Bunker's Eden Vale Memorial Park. Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane, handled arrangements.
Rubin 'Ruby' Schaffer
Rubin "Ruby" Schaffer, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 20, 1930, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 15 years, he was a retired owner-operator of a plastic fabricating business.
He is survived by his wife, Rae; one daughter, Eileen Vergino of Livermore, Calif.; two sons, Michael Schaffer of Saratoga, Calif., and Stuart Schaffer of San Diego; and five grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.
The family suggests donations to the American Heart Association, 6370 W. Flamingo Road, Suite 1, Las Vegas, NV 89103, or the donor's favorite charity.
William H. Walker
William H. Walker, 63, of Henderson died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 30, 1942, in Auburn, N.Y. A resident for 19 years, he was a truck driver for Swift Transportation and a retired Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Bernice A.; one son, William Walker; two daughters, Darla Ann Armfield and Cathy Atkisson; one sister, Carol Payne; one brother, Jack Walker; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 2 p.m. service Wednesday in Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St.
The family suggests donations to Odyssey Harbor House, 4011-A McLeod Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
