Robert John Brennan
Robert John Brennan, 69, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 10, 1935, in New York City. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired auditor in the construction industry.
He is survived by one son, Terry Brennan; one daughter, Sally Rath; two brothers, Monsignor Dermot R. Brennan and Gerald M. Brennan; and two grandchildren.
Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., handled arrangements.
Andrew Lee Brown
Andrew Lee Brown, 48, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born May 22, 1957, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 26 years, he was a sous chef at a local hotel and a Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by four daughters, Alessica Brown, Kendra McGhee, Jessica Moore and Beionka Moore, two sons, Robert Strawder and Ockee Johnson, six brothers, Clarence Brown Jr., Earnest Brown, Frankie Brown, Timothy Vickers, Tyrone Brown and Antis Pullam, and four sisters, Elizabeth Brown, Delores Foster, Diana Brooke and Donna Gilbert, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 1-7 p.m. Tuesday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Leonard Hafen
Leonard Hafen, 90, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 5, 1916, in Short Creek, Ariz. A resident for many years, he was a retired hotel-casino purchasing agent.
He is survived by four sons, DeWayne Charles Hafen of San Diego, Wendell LaVoy Hafen of Panaca, Andrew Hafen of Newman, Calif., and Douglas Hafen of Santa Clarita, Calif.; and five daughters, Elda Lucille Briscoe of Bunkerville, Judy Lasser of Nampa, Idaho, Sue Anna Patterson of Lake Charles, La., Iva Sallay of South Jordan, Utah, and Helen Christine Hafen of North Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled noon-1:30 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Donald G. Otteson
Donald G. Otteson, 65, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospice. He was born April 19, 1940, in Iowa City, Iowa. A resident for three years, he was a retired machinist in the aerospace industry, a Vietnam War Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Foresters.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; four daughters, Dawn Sackal of Georgetown, Texas, Cheryl Tauber of Henderson, Shawn Tapia of Temecula, Calif., and Kimberly McIlionie of Fullerton, Calif.; two sons, Grego Otteson of Santa Ana, Calif., and Glenn Afflersbach of Henderson; one sister, Rae Ann Hickman; two brothers, Dean Otteson of Las Vegas and Glenn Akin of Midland, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
James Stephen Roberts
James Stephen Roberts, 44, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 30, 1960, in Evanston, Ill. A resident for 20 years, he was an electrician.
He is survived by his parents, Richard and Kathleen Roberts; one sister, Karen Iwasaki; and two brothers, Bob Roberts and Dennis Roberts.
Nevada Funeral Service-Nevada Cremation or Burial Society, 2983 Fremont St., is handling private arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the American Diabetes Association, 2785 E. Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas, NV 89121.
