Bertha Lee Huggins

Bertha Lee Huggins, 94, of Henderson died Monday in a local care center. She was born July 20, 1911, in Decker, Ind. A resident for five years, she was a retired bookkeeper for a manufacturing firm.

She is survived by one son, Robert J. Huggins of Henderson; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Stanley R. Judd

Stanley R. Judd, 93, of Las Vegas died Aug. 17 in a local hospice. He was born Dec. 7, 1911, in Grantsville, Utah. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired sheet metal worker and a member of Sheet Metal Workers Local 88.

He is survived by one daughter, Beverly Gibbs of Pocatello, Idaho; three sons, Sid Judd and Gary Judd, both of Las Vegas, and Steve Judd of San Jose, Calif.; two sisters, Roma Swenson of Pocatello and Bernice Westergaurd of Springville, Utah; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., handled arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119.

Mary Carol Kettner

Mary Carol Kettner, 53, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 16, 1951, in Chicago. An electronics procurement manager, she was a resident of Las Vegas and North Las Vegas for six years.

She is survived by her parents, Bernard and Lorraine Kettner; and six brothers, Terrence, Richard, Michael, Christopher, Timothy and Joseph.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Paul Mack Sr.

Paul Mack Sr., 51, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born April 11, 1954, in Somerset, Pa. A resident for 25 years, he was a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Hyla Mack and Jennifer Dwight, both of Las Vegas; four sons, Paul Mack Jr. of Rhinelander, Wis., and Clay Mack, Edwin Mack and Jesse Dwight, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. services Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Erma McMillen

Erma McMillen, 100, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born March 12, 1905, in Mantua, Utah. A resident for 35 years, she was a retired receptionist for a beauty shop.

Visitation is scheduled 9:30 a.m. until an 11 service Saturday in the LDS Sun Valley chapel. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Rosetta Sleister

Rosetta Sleister, 83, of Las Vegas died Aug. 8 in Messina, Sicily. A legal secretary for the county government, she was born April 1, 1922, in Messina.

She is survived by three sons, Ted DeWreede, Steve DeWreede and Eric Sleister, all of Las Vegas.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Marilyn Teitelbaum

Marilyn Teitelbaum, 80, of Las Vegas died Aug. 17 in a local hospice. She was born June 21, 1925, in Seattle. A resident for 6 1/2 years, she was a dietician, a member of the Jewish War Veterans Auxiliary and Bet Knesset Bamidbar.

She is survived by her husband, Bob; two sons, Mark of Mercer Island, Wash., and Scott of Seattle; one daughter, Nancy of Anchorage, Alaska; twin brothers, Jerry Cohen of Camano Island, Wash., and John Cohen of Seattle; and four grandchildren.

Robert Lee Thomas Jr.

Robert Lee Thomas Jr., 30, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 16, 1975, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a general laborer.

He is survived by his mother, Rose Thomas, his stepmother, Becki Vincent, two brothers, Grady Thomas and Chris Vincent, and three sisters, Chrissi Vincent, Esther Thomas and Jackie Thomas, all of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. until a 6 p.m. service today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Sept. 10 in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

George W. Underwood

George W. Underwood, 49, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born March 20, 1956, in Houston. A resident for more than 20 years, he was a motorcycle mechanic and entrepreneur.

He is survived by his wife, Tonya Allen-Underwood; two sons, Brandon Allen-Underwood and Rox Underwood, and three daughters, Amber Allen, Amanda Coady and Brandy Coady, all of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
