51s’ Myrow slams Beavers

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Brian Myrow swatted a grand slam in the seventh inning to send the 51s to a 10-3 victory against the Portland Beavers on Wednesday at PGE Park.
Myrow's 20th dinger came off reliever Brandon Emanuel and snapped a 3-3 tie.
Jason Grabowski singled to score a run before Myrow's big clout.
Mike Rose had tied the score with a two-run homer in the sixth. He went 2-for-5 with two RBIs. Cody Ross was 3-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored, slugging a two-run blast in the ninth.
Jason Grabowski was 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored. Delwyn Young and Jose Flores each had two hits, with Young smacking the first of the 51s' four homers, a solo shot in the fifth off Portland starter Mike Thompson.
Major league veteran Scott Erickson (1-3) picked up his first win with the 51s. He gave up three runs on seven hits in six innings with four walks and seven strikeouts. Erickson surrendered a solo homer to Sean Burroughs in the second.
