Dorothy A. Cunningham

Dorothy A. Cunningham, 73, of Boulder City died Aug. 8 in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 22, 1932, in Minneapolis. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired classroom assistant.

She is survived by her husband, Clifton; and three sons, Bruce Cunningham, Todd Cunningham and Marc Cunningham, all of Las Vegas.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, handled arrangements.

The family suggests donations to Henderson First United Methodist Church, 609 E. Horizon Drive, Henderson, NV 89015.

Fred Kempf

Fred Kempf, 72, of Henderson died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born July 28, 1933, in Minneapolis. A resident for 31 years, he was a retired Air Force major and a Korean War and Vietnam War Navy and Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; one daughter, Kristine Korth, and one son, Daniel Kempf, both of Henderson; two sisters, Linda Cain of Boulder, Colo., and Florence Olson of Minneapolis; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 4 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Shirley Ann Klinko

Shirley Ann Klinko, 63, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born May 23, 1942, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a retired word processor for a bank.

She is survived by her husband, James; one daughter, Stacy Wolfram of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Darren Glade Lamoreaux

Darren Glade Lamoreaux, 38, of Henderson died Wednesday in Henderson. He was born Oct. 16, 1966, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a corrections officer for the Salt Lake County Sheriffs Department and an officer for the Salt Lake City Police Department, worked at several architectural, engineering and developing firms and then owned a land consulting business.

He is survived by his wife, Laurel; two sons, Justin Lamoreaux and Tyler Lamoreaux, two daughters, Jessica Lamoreaux and Alyssa Lamoreaux, his parents, Albert and Lawana Lamoreaux, and one sister, Kristin Lamoreaux, all of Henderson; and three brothers, Brian Lamoreaux of Washington, Utah, Michael Lamoreaux of Flower Mound, Texas, and Jared Lamoreaux of Henderson.

Visitation is scheduled 10-11:30 a.m. Saturday followed by a noon service at the LDS Arrowhead chapel. Graveside services will follow at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Memorial Park, Henderson.

Chester E. Mooney

Chester E. Mooney, 81, of Boulder City died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 26, 1924, in Oklahoma. A resident for 55 years, he was a retired 33-year Hoover Dam maintenance supervisor, a World War II Navy veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice; one son, Dennis Mooney of Nevada; one daughter, Sue Robbins of Oregon; one sister, Faye Adair of California; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Leonard Penn

Leonard Penn, 66, of Henderson died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 10, 1938, in New York City. A resident for six years, he was a retired bank vice president and a Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Millie; one daughter, Veronica Turner of Encino, Calif.; one son, Anthony Penn of West New York, N.J.; one stepdaughter, Tami Morrison of Monroe, N.C.; and one stepson, Anwar Morrison of Allentown, Pa.; and seven grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 6:30 p.m. Monday at the 18th hole of the Revere Golf Course. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Sueann (Wirtz) Taylor

Sueann (Wirtz) Taylor, 66, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 2, 1939, in Illinois. A resident for 35 years, she was an airport custodian.

She is survived by three daughters, Deborah Mayers, Linda Malich and Donna Cox, and one sister, Rosemary Richards, all of Las Vegas; one brother, William Wirtz of Joliet, Ill.; and eight grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Frances Jane Thayer

Frances Jane Thayer, 91, of Boulder City died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 2, 1913, in Moroni, Utah. A resident for 51 years, she was a retired dental assistant.

She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy A. Helm of Boulder City; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Services and burial will be in Salt Lake City. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
