The closed Castaways hotel and casino was half-wrapped in plastic on Tuesday. Station Casinos began demolishing the former Showboat hotel-casino in July. Station Casinos, which purchased the casino early last year, is demolishing the structures but hasn't decided what to do with the property. They company used a wrecking ball to demolish all of the buildings save for the hotel tower, which is expected to be imploded in or near February, company executives said last month.
