Back-to-school vaccinations needed
The Clark County Health District will offer extended hours for back-to-school immunizations from Aug. 22 to Sept. 9 at its main campus, 625 Shadow Lane.
The extended hours, 8 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday-Friday will make it more convenient for working parents to keep vaccinations up-to-date.
The following vaccinations are required for students enrolling in public or private school: chickenpox (varicella); hepatitis A; hepatitis B; polio; diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis (DTaP); and measles, mumps, rubella (MMR).
Parents that have recently moved to Nevada should note the chickenpox and hepatitis A vaccinations are not required in all states, so immunizations that were up-to-date in other states may not be current in Nevada.
For more information, call 383-1351.
