Tommie Lee Baylor

Tommie Lee Baylor, 65, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 30, 1940, in DeKalb, Miss. A resident for 10 years, he was a deputy sheriff.

He is survived by his wife, Tommie Jean; nine daughters, Veverly Jones of Norfolk, Va., Pamela Hosley and Chassie Cole, both of Meridian, Miss., Toni Hosley of Memphis, Tenn., Nicole Hosley and Christine Hosley, both of Las Vegas, Kaneta of Los Angeles, Kim Smith of Hattiesburg, Miss., and Flossie Gatherite of Jackson, Miss.; one son, Tommy Lee Baylor Jr. of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Wilma Jean Bell

Wilma Jean Bell, 87, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Jan. 21, 1918, in Mattoon, Ill. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired teachers assistant.

She is survived by one son, Jody Clint Bell; one brother, Jim Warrick of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling private services.

Aileen Erwin

Aileen Erwin, 77, of Las Vegas died July 26 in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 29, 1927, in Edinborough, Scotland. A resident for 37 years, she was a retired registered nurse.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2575 W. El Campo Grande, North Las Vegas. Graveside services will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Donna Norris Harvath

Donna Norris Harvath, 74, of Henderson died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 29, 1930, in Ogden, Utah. A resident for 20 years, she retired as a civil service employee from the Department of Defense.

She is survived by her husband, Robert William; two sons, Michael W. Lucas of South Weber, Utah, and Dale R. Harvath of Syracuse, Utah; and one daughter, Karen L. May of Riverdale, Utah.

Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Roosevelt Hopkins

Roosevelt Hopkins, 62, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 23, 1943, in Louisiana. A resident for 46 years, he was a maintenance supervisor for the federal government.

He is survived by three daughters, Derita Hopkins, Kimberly Gray and Rose Gray, two sons, Ramone Hopkins and Rodrick Hopkins, his mother, Floyd Hopkins, and four sisters, Elizabeth Eason, Shirley Davis, Ruth Hartwell and Blanche Phillips, all of Las Vegas; four brothers, Truman Hopkins and Leo Harris, both of Las Vegas, Amos Green of St. Louis and Steven Hopkins of California; and five grandchildren.

A service of remembrance will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. A private burial will follow.

Eloise Gardner

Hutchings

Eloise Gardner Hutchings, 90, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 8, 1915, in Forest Home. A resident for many years, she was a Clark County School District food server.

She is survived by one son, Gary W. Hutchings of Battle Mountain; two daughters, Sharon Verdine of Logan, Utah, and Diane Whitaker of Las Vegas; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 5-7 p.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Sandhill/Viking LDS Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Additional visitation is scheduled at 11 a.m. Friday in Ross, Burke & Knobel Mortuary, Reno, followed by a graveside dedication service in a Reno cemetery.

Thelma Kalei Kuchman

Thelma Kalei Kuchman, 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 15, 1918, in Honolulu. A resident for 46 years, she was a retired director of a child care facility.

She is survived by three sons, Myron Kuchman of Henderson and Michael Kuchman Jr. and Thomas Kuchman, both of Las Vegas; three daughters, Catherine Bonnell and Marilyn Thompson, both of Las Vegas and Carolyn Walker of Saugus, Calif.; one sister, Mary Louise Obina of Haaula, Hawaii; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Thursday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 5485 E. Charleston Blvd. Graveside services will follow at 1:20 p.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

The family requests Aloha attire be worn to the services.

Ellen Louise Murrell

Ellen Louise Murrell, 78, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in North Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 22, 1926, in Montana. A resident for 22 years, she was a telephone operator.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Robert.

Robert Peters

Robert Peters, 76, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 28, 1928, in Adrian, Mich. A resident for 32 years, he was a retired owner-operator of an installation company and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, E. Christine; one daughter, Tina Landskroener of Quincy, Ill.; one son, John Peters of Las Vegas; four sisters, Betty Satterlee, Lillian DeArmond, Anne Greene and Darlene Anderson; two brothers, Johnny Peters and Norman Peters; and two grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in First Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 301 S. Maryland Parkway. Graveside services will be 10:40 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Erik Petersen

Erik Petersen, 75, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. A retired automobile mechanic, he was born Oct. 22, 1929, in Copenhagen, Denmark.

He is survived by his wife, Hilda; and two daughters, Monna Angell of Henderson and Hanne Gravlund of Copenhagen.

Rick Valentine

Rick Valentine, 49, of Las Vegas died Thursday in Las Vegas. He was born May 28, 1956, in Warsaw, Ind. A resident for 41 years, he was a painter in the construction industry.

He is survived by his father, Jim Valentine, and one sister, Martha Bash, both of Las Vegas; and one brother, William Galloway of Logansport, Ind..

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

William Vaughn

William Vaughn, 58, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 25, 1946, in Malvern, Ark. A resident for 25 years, he was a casino dealer.

He is survived by three sons, Billy Watley, Patrell Barnes and Billy Barnes, his mother, Lela Vaughn, two sisters, Sheila Gorman and Virginia Robinson, and one brother, Freeman Vaughn, all of Milwaukee.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
