Frederic H. 'Ricky' Abrams

Frederic H. "Ricky" Abrams, 53, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 20, 1951, in New York City. A resident for 30 years, he was an attorney.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Abrams.

He is survived by his mother, Beatrice Abrams, and one brother, Lewis Abrams, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is private. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.

Don Albietz

Don Albietz, 45, of Blue Diamond died July 28 in a local hospital. He was born April 18, 1960, in Dallas. A resident for 15 years, he was a Metro Police officer.

He is survived by his wife, Minta; one daughter, Sarah Albietz; one son, Austin Albietz; his mother, Emily Wood; and two sisters, Lisa Kincaid and Kelly Wilson.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

The family suggests donations to a trust set up for his children at U.S. Bank.

Luisa Avellanet

Luisa Avellanet, 87, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 25, 1917, in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired seamstress.

She is survived by one daughter, Victoria Ramirez, one son, Pedro A. Perez, and one sister, Maria Ortiz, all of Las Vegas; and five grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Sunday with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service at Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday in St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 1840 N. Bruce St.

John Bajo

John Bajo, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 4, 1920, in Chicago. A resident for three years, he was a retired shipping manager for a manufacturing firm, a World War II Army veteran, a member of Bayard de Hart Post 13 and the American Legion, Richland Center, Wis.

He is survived by one daughter, Diane de la Paz of Las Vegas; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was 3 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Kenneth

Joseph Coope

Kenneth Joseph Coope, 72, of Las Vegas died July 28 in Las Vegas. He was born June 21, 1933, in Massachusetts. A resident for one year, he was a data processing manager and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; three sons, David, Shawn and Randy; two sisters, Shirley and Janet; and five grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Val Eggleston

Val Eggleston, 61, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 1, 1943, in Afton, Wyo. A resident for 39 years, he was a construction superintendent.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra; two sons, Robert D. Eggleston and Jason W. Eggleston, both of Las Vegas; three sisters, Aneta Burton of Afton, Marie Lovelady of Granger, Utah, and Julie Harmon of Grover, Wyo.; one brother, Kim Eggleston of Fruit Heights, Utah; and one grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. Tuesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.

Siaosi K.L. Fonoti

Siaosi K.L. Fonoti, 41, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 27, 1963, in Leone, American Samoa. A resident for seven years, he was a warehouse shipping and receiving clerk.

He is survived by his wife, Selena A.; one son, Brandon Richard Perry; his father, Kalati L. Fonoti; his mothers, Sauiluma Toilolo Fonoti and To'Avalu Fonoti Talili; seven brothers, Mene Talili, Asotau Talili, Wayne Talili, Masoli Sokoi Fonoti, Viliamu Fonoti, Falani Fonoti and Foma'i Fonoti; and four sisters, Mirareta Talili Tatupu, Emele Fonoti Milford, To'Avalu Fonoti Ma'Anaima and Lumafale Fonoti Aiono.

A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

David Scott Gittings

David Scott Gittings, 34, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 14, 1970, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was an owner-operator of a pool maintenance company.

He is survived by his father, Linden Gittings, his mother and stepfather, Mary and Richard Cooke, four brothers, Michael Gittings, John Gittings, Daniel Gittings and Travis Cooke, one sister, Melissa Cooke, and his stepdaughter, Autumn Isi, all of Las Vegas; and his grandmother, Mildred Baker of Sparks.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Anthony Moore

Anthony Moore, 47, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 27, 1958, in Shreveport, La. A resident for 10 years, he was a bus driver.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn; four daughters, Christina Jordan, Angelea Moore, Robin Moore and Devona Moore, and one son, Gary Moore, all of Las Vegas; and one granddaughter.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Elizabeth A. 'Betty Ann' Shinotsuka

Elizabeth A. 'Betty Ann' Shinotsuka, 62, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 5, 1944, in Hawaii. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, George; three sons, Jerome, Scott and Michael; three daughters, Antoinette, Lindy and Jenny; two brothers, Willie and Frank; two sisters, Ethel and Irene; and five grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Monday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
