Fernando 'Fernie' Agundez
Fernando "Fernie" Agundez, 69, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 12, 1936, in Brawley, Calif. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired boilermaker for a railroad and a Marine Corps veteran who participated in air ground exercises at the Atomic Energy Commission Proving Grounds at Camp Desert Rock.
He is survived by his wife, Cristina; one daughter, Edie Hernandez of Elk Grove, Calif.; one son, Fernando "Fernie" Agundez Jr. of San Bernardino, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
G. Marlys Clark
G. Marlys Clark, 82, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born Nov. 18, 1922, in Malden, Mass. A resident for 15 years, she was a retired nurse and a World War II Army veteran.
She is survived by two daughters, Maureen Quick of Las Vegas and Sharon MacLeod of Willowbrook, Ill.; two brothers, Ralph Shortt of East Holden, Maine, and John Palmer of Carmel, Maine; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 6 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
The family suggests donations to Alzheimer's Association, Southern Nevada Chapter, 5190 S. Valley View Blvd., Suite 101, Las Vegas, NV 89118.
Lewis M. Cortes
Lewis M. Cortes, 71, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 1, 1934, in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico. A resident for five years, he was an educator and a Korean War Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth; four sons, Roland Watkins of Las Vegas, Rodney Watkins of Bryan, Texas, Louie Cortes of Lakewood, Ohio, and Tony Cortes of Columbus, Ohio; three daughters, Terre Cortes of Cleveland, Bonnie Rivera of LaMirada, Calif., and Lois Vigil of Corona Del Mar, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-7 p.m. Thursday with a 6 p.m. rosary in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne.
Jerilyn DeStefano
Jerilyn DeStefano, 46, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born April 28, 1959, in New York City. A resident for 12 years, she owned and operated a concrete flooring company.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; one daughter, Lauren Nicole DeStefano of Las Vegas; her father, Frank Greco of San Francisco; and one brother, Michael Greco of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to a 6 p.m. service today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
Andy Jhasiel Luna Hernandez
Andy Jhasiel Luna Hernandez, 2 months, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born May 20, 2005, in Las Vegas.
He is survived by his mother, Brenda Hernandez Zavaleta, and his father, Bernardino Hernandez, both of North Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled noon-3 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.
Dolores Loya Hinkle
Dolores Loya Hinkle, 56, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. She was born Sept. 23, 1948, in Burbank, Calif. A resident for 16 years, she worked in human resources for the city of Las Vegas.
She is survived by her husband, Steven; one daughter, Lisa Marie McCusker, and one son, Matthew Steven Hinkle, both of Henderson; and one grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 4 p.m. until a 6 p.m. rosary Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 204 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Graveside services will follow at noon Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
The family suggests donations to the American Cancer Society, 1325 E. Harmon Ave., Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Jack Douglas Laino
Jack Douglas Laino, 38, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 4, 1966, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a food and beverage equipment mechanic with US Foods, an Army veteran, a member of Oasis Lodge 41 F&AM, Las Vegas Rites Masonic Bodies, Malta Commandery 3, Keystone Chapter 16 and Zabud Council 10.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Kathy; two sons, Kevin and Raymond; one daughter, Jenna; his parents, Patricia and David Laino; one brother, Paul Laino; and his grandmother, Sylvia Laino.
Services were 11 a.m. today in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services followed in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
Daniel F. Manuel
Daniel F. Manuel, 86, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born March 6, 1919, in Merino, Colo. A resident for 19 years, he was a retired railroad car man.
He is survived by his wife, Melba; four sons, Morey D. Manuel of Garden Grove, Calif., Arja C. Lehn of Englewood, Colo., Fredrick Lehn of Elizabeth, Colo., and Monty C. Manuel of Fruita, Colo.; two daughters, Robbie C. Howland of Fruita and Barbara Lehn Deshler of Carson City; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Lucera Tabor, 86, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 1, 1919, in Makato, Philippines. A resident for 33 years, she was a retired laundress in the hotel industry.
She is survived by six daughters, Ely Cordova, Dena Villaruz, Heide Thomas and Mae Legaspi, all of Las Vegas, Gilda Kissinger of Phillips Ranch, Calif., and Perla Botor of Cavite City, Philippines; one son, Wilfordo Cordova of Las Vegas; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled noon-7 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 315 S. Casino Center Blvd. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Benjamin Tomaselli
Benjamin Tomaselli, 92, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 21, 1912, in New York City. A resident for 29 years, he was a restaurant equipment salesman.
He is survived by two daughters, Janet Del Popola of Las Vegas and Carol Collins of North Tonawanda, N.Y.; one son, Joseph Tomaselli of Salinas, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
