Marcus Alcantar
Marcus Alcantar, 55, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born May 7, 1950, in Galveston, Texas. A resident for seven years, he was a telephone repairman and a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
He is survived by one daughter, Dawn Solatair Alcantar Morgan of Wellington; two sons, Mark A. Alcantar of Las Vegas and Gideon Chance Alcantar of Arlington, Texas; one brother, Paul F. Alcantar of Houston; and three grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 1711 E. Flamingo Road, Suite 213A, Las Vegas, NV 89119 or the American Diabetes Association, 2785 E. Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas, NV 89121.

Michael Berkowitz
David Michael Berkowitz, an infant, died on July 22, his date of birth, in a local hospital.
He is survived by his mother, Scottijo Daily, and his father, Ted Berkowitz, both of Las Vegas.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.
Homer
William Jones
Homer William Jones, 66, of Las Vegas died May 30 in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 14, 1938, in Virginia. A West Point graduate, he became a lieutenant during the 1960s, retired as an Army captain and was a retired attorney.
Graveside services were in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., handled arrangements.
Jack R. Lang
Jack R. Lang, 83, of Henderson died Thursday in a local care center. He was born May 26, 1922, in Anmoore, W.Va. A resident for 22 years, he was a retired projectionist, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Professional Bowlers Association.
He is survived by one son, Alan Lang of Scottsdale, Ariz.; one daughter, Jacqueline Rentenbach of Grosse Pointe Park, Mich.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
Phil Orenbuch
Phil Orenbuch, 69, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 8, 1935, in Poland. A resident for 10 years, he was a retired entrepreneur and a veteran of the Israeli Army.
He is survived by his wife, Juana; two daughters, Idette Brumbaugh of Damascus, Md., and Roberta Orenbuch of Hollywood, Fla.; one son, Noah Orenbuch of Sunrise, Fla.; one sister, Dora Jabko of Tamarac, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren.
No local services are scheduled. Services will be in Florida. King David Memorial Chapel and Cemetery, 2697 Eldorado Lane, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests donations to Jewish Family Services, 3909 S. Maryland Parkway, Suite 205, Las Vegas, NV 89119.
Virginia Roquero White
Virginia Roquero White, 73, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born June 12, 1932, in Iloilo, Philippines. A resident for one year, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by five daughters, Christine White, Carol White, Corazon White, Carina White-Davis and Cecelia White; one son, Curtis White; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Palm Chapel, Cheyenne. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest, 6701 N. Jones Blvd.
