Thomas Archbold

Thomas Archbold, 39, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born May 22, 1965, in New York. A resident for one year, he was a retired baker.

He is survived by his wife, Judy of New York; and one brother, Daniel McGuire of Las Vegas.

Visitation will be two hours prior to a 6 p.m. service Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd.

Elinor Cieplucha

Elinor Cieplucha, 93, of Henderson died April 22 in a local care center. She was born Oct. 23, 1911, in Calumet City, Ill. A resident for 3 1/2 years, she was a retired tool and die company secretary.

She is survived by two nieces, Cynthia Hoffmann of Henderson and Patricia Rowe of Illinois; and three nephews, Mark Boyer of Torrance, Calif., Cy Boyer of Sunny Valley, Ore., and Steven Cieplucha of California.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Carolyn J. Degan

Carolyn J. Degan, 62, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born May 18, 1942, in Santa Rosa, N.M. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Michael.

Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Charles Keith Griffy

Charles Keith Griffy, 78, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local care center. He was born March 21, 1927, in Pampa, Texas. A resident for 31 years, he was a retired electrician in the construction industry and a World War II and Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Pat; one son, Robert Griffy of Las Vegas; one daughter, Jane Carhart of Minooka, Ill.; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Maxine Virginia Jones

Maxine Virginia Jones, 84, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 16, 1920, in Wyandotte, Okla. A resident for 20 years, she was a retired stocks and bonds trustee a former captain in the Oklahoma wing of the Civil Air Patrol and a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 50 years.

She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Marie Anderson of Las Vegas; one sister, Mary E. Wilson of Pampa, Texas; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Betty Jean King

Betty Jean King, 55, of Las Vegas died April 20 in Henderson. She was born July 11, 1949, in Tallulah, La. A resident for 41 years, she was a hotel guest room attendent.

She is survived by one daughter, Vina Henderson of North Las Vegas; her parents, Clarence and Marie Hawkins, and two sisters, Diane Womack and Dores Turner, all of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be noon Monday in New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1100 N. D St. Burial will be private.

Dolly C. Mills

Dolly C. Mills, 87, of Las Vegas died April 21 in Las Vegas. She was born July 27, 1917, in Douglas, Wyo. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Daryl Cannon of Abingdon, Md., and Frances Kersenbrock of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North.

Derek Dwayne Moore

Derek Dwayne Moore, 21, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 1, 1984, in Las Vegas. He was a customer service representative for a car detailing company.

He is survived by his mother, Virginia Carroll of North Las Vegas; his father, Amos Moore Sr. of Las Vegas; seven brothers, Anthony Ray Moore, Amos Moore Jr., Marlon Moore, LeMearl Carroll, Michael Carroll and Reginald Carroll, all of North Las Vegas, and Sean Carroll of Las Vegas; four sisters, Veronica Williams of Mississippi, Shonda Carroll of Georgia and Thelma J. Johnson and Shawna Carroll, both of North Las Vegas.

Visitation will be 1-7 p.m. Monday in Thomas and Jones Funeral Home, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday in Carver Missionary Baptist Church, 1221 N. J St. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Sherwan Tanner Peck

Sherwan Tanner Peck, 67, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 18, 1938, in Washington, Utah. A resident for 44 years, she was a retired clerk for the Clark County School District and a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bob D.; one daughter, Peggy Eliason of North Las Vegas; two sons, Steven Peck and Toby Peck, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Annetta Wilkinson of McDermitt, Ore.; and 13 grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9-10:15 a.m. Saturday in the LDS Pecos and Osage Heritage Park Ward. Services will follow at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Pecos and Osage chapel. Burial will be in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Rosemarie Puso

Rosemarie Puso, 63, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 23, 1941, in Hoboken, N.J. A resident for 11 years, she was a retired beautician.

She is survived by one son, Jason Puso of Mountain Top, Pa.; one daughter, Renee Aadland of Las Vegas; one brother, Paul Rondinelli of Lomita, Calif.; one sister, Henrietta Rapp of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 130 N. Pecos Road, Henderson. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Anna Rozzo

Anna Rozzo, 96, of North Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 26, 1909, in Pittsburgh. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one daughter, Mary A. Sollami of Las Vegas; and one grandson.

Graveside services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, handled arrangements.

Elia Salas

Elia Salas, 90, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. She was born Feb. 23, 1915, in Managua, Nicaragua. A resident for 14 years, she was a retired seamstress in the fashion industry.

She is survived by her husband, Albert J.; three daughters, Gladys Bolanos and Diana Battle, both of San Francisco and Mary Jane Wilson of Stockton, Calif.; one son, Robert Salas of Wheatland, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

All services will be held in San Francisco by Driscoll's Mortuary. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., assisted with handling arrangements.

Richard Shreckengaust

Richard Shreckengaust, 63, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. A retired dealer in the gaming industry and a Vietnam War Navy veteran, he was born March 24, 1942, in Seattle.

He is survived by his wife, Mi Soo Kim; and one son, Douglas Shreckengaust of Las Vegas.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be noon Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
