StumbleMan found shot dead in street

A 30-year-old man was found shot dead in a traffic lane on Mercury Street, near Interstate 15 and Cheyenne Avenue, about 3:30 a.m. today, North Las Vegas Police said.
The victim, whose name was not released this morning, was near the curb, Officer Tim Bedwell, police spokesman, said. A shopping cart was nearby.
Detectives are interviewing people living in the area and it appears the homicide occurred between 2:30 and 3:30 a.m. Police don't know yet why the man was shot, he said.
