Housekeepers compete at hotel and restaurant show

Hotel employees from 25 Las Vegas properties took part in the hospitality competition at the International Hotel & Restaurant Show on Thursday. Contests included bedmaking, buffer pad tosses and vacuum relays.
The convention, held at Mandalay Bay Convention Center, drew 350 suppliers from the lodging and food-service industry. Convention officials expected attendance of 4,000.
